Re: Dirt on Rockerverb 50 Mkiii vs Brent Hinds Terror?

Not sure if you are still looking. Orange clean has mojo for sure but it just doesn't work for everything. My suggestion would be to keep the Terror and grab a small fender combo with an A/B switcher at the end of your chain (pro junior works great for me). This will give you the best of both worlds...

Re: NAD incoming

Had an OB for an evening. I did a direct comparison to the 212V which really isn't fair due to the massive difference in speakers. Only thing I noted was how subdued the V30's sounded. Everyone always says new V30's are horrible and harsh, but I was craving more top end bite out of them. The single ...

Re: One PPC412 vs two PPC212 closed back cabinets

Benefit of one of each is the OB will spread the sound around more. I had an OB for a night and didn't really dig it. I think for a more "consistent tone" a set of the CB would be my choice.

Re: NCD!!! Finally found one I like :D

Well the neo V-Type just came in and here are some thoughts comparing the two. In favor of the neo V-Type: - The V is more open and clear sounding than the G and has a touch more top end response/fizz. Neither speaker brings out the fizzy nature of the TT with this cab though. The G sounds more "nar...

Re: Any idea where to find an AD30 single channel?

Any luck finding one?

Truly the only Orange amp I'm interested in is the AD30SC head. Seemingly super rare but one day I'll run into one.

Re: NCD!!! Finally found one I like :D

A bit boxy at lower volumes for sure but really opens up once you turn up the volume. ***Jammed for about 30 minutes at lunch and man is this cab incredible. What is really shocking me and I'm not sure if it's the cab or the fact that I installed something that isn't a Celestion, but I feel like the...

NCD!!! Finally found one I like :D

Hello Everyone, A mountain of cabs later, I saved up and finally pulled the trigger on a Port City OS112. IT'S FANTASTIC!!! Much smaller than I expected and actually pretty light. I had the OS212 for a number of years but it was a bit unwieldy (best sounding cab I've ever owned though). https://phot...

Re: Any idea where to find an AD30 single channel?

There is a 212 single channel combo used at Long & McQuade in Edmonton Alberta. You can see it on the site. The price has been bouncing up and down recently. Maybe they ship to the states?

Eurotubes.com, JJ!

Been using then for the past decade and never disappointed.

Amazing amp BTW. The single channel AD30 is the only amp left on my list. Impossibly hard to find it seems nice catch!

Re: Rocker 30 Combo Crackle after palm mute.

Give them a call maybe they will give you a remote audition :D We've been recording all of our shows for the past 4 years now. I picked up a Zoom Q4N a few years back and while the video quality is so-so the audio is pretty good. Nice to watch the vids and work on improving our performance, or even ...

Re: Rocker 30 Combo Crackle after palm mute.

I'm not sure why I didn't think of this before but I had an idea yesterday to play along to some of our live gigs (we film them all). It was actually a blast. Playing the "live" arrangements of the songs up to tempo and hearing the crowd make some noise was nice vs playing along to CD or solo.

Re: Is making an EP a realistic goal

I'm in a lucky situation as the guitarist/singer does 100% of the song writing. He will send me a rough draft and I will add my twist on it (drums). If I have any arrangement ideas I will makes notes or even chop things up in the daw before I send it back. We have always written songs this way so th...

Re: Delay Roundup

Timeline has been the longest in my life for sure. Got it when it came out and still own it. I also dig the Ibanez mini pink delay and the El Capistan. If I'm in the mood for delay I usually reach for the cap as it's easier to get a good sound and tweak it quickly (I really like the built in spring ...

Re: Your first guitar...

I've held onto mine! Got it 27 years ago!!! My parents got it for me with a Peavy Rage 158. Love the "Axe-Sac" haha. I remember the other guy in my class had the "Axe-Bra", basically the same but it just had straps and didn't cover the horns. Crazy to see wear on a guitar that was actually played fo...
