Re: Rocker 30 Combo Crackle after palm mute.

Nice! I had a similar issue with a bass cab. It was rattling/buzzing like crazy even at low volumes. I pulled it all apart, filled stripped holes, and retightened everything. It was still rattling so I assumed it was the logo (in the middle of the grill). I pryed the logo off and ruined it in the pr...

Re: Rocker 30 Combo Crackle after palm mute.

Is it possible to blow a v30? Haha. I really hope not this is one of the stock UK made ones. I cranked it way up on the natural Channel and no crackle so I don't think it's a blown speaker. Just seems to be with the gain up on the dirty side. If I roll back on the volume the crackle goes away. EDIT:...

Re: Rocker 30 Combo Crackle after palm mute.

Did some testing after work and I think it's power related. I tried both my head and combo through the 212V and I think they made the same sound hard to tell as the V is pretty dark compared to the V30 in the combo. There is no way to get the head to go through the combo cab the cable is way too sho...

Rocker 30 Combo Crackle after palm mute.

Hello Everyone! Hopefully a few folks are still lurking. I recently started noticing my R30C crackles while palm muted low notes are decaying. I tested through the combo cab with my TT head and there was no crackle. There is no crackle on the natural channel. I think one of the preamp tubes (on the ...

Seems like you posted this thread twice?

I thought they filed for protections? Will probably be back up and running in a few months :)

Re: I need orange amp advice

I don't find the edge of breakup tones on the R30 all that pleasing as it's kind of "on or off", there isn't a smooth transition between clean and dirty IMO. The Natural channel cranked up does a better job but with only one knob it might be hard to get the volume you need. For those edge/crunch ton...

Re: New toys

I was quite surprised by the 10 in the Pro Jr as it sounds much bigger than it should. Guitar player used it last jam instead of his usual Blues Jr and was pretty surprised how it sounded with an OCD in front (Trying to convince him not to bring his amp every jam). The Princeton to me seemed scooped...

Re: New toys

Princeton ohh! I was 100% set on buying one of those a few years back but something about it just didn't vibe with me. I decided to try out the Pro Jr that was sitting next to it and was blown away. Still shocked how good that amp sounds every time I plug in. New stuff? hmm, sold my TT combo and am ...

Re: Sad.....Day's of Yore

Old friends, greetings yet again. I used to hit this page several times a day, and what a ride we've had. I've never had a facebook account and never will. I keep thinking this is shut down so I never stop in anymore. Been using reddit and TGP for the few gear questions I have these days, just isn't...

Re: NGD

Got the guitar back from the tech a few days back: https://photos.app.goo.gl/BehWH8FuFg4GKoxW8 RIP tone knob... Once you start to understand the Jr, you might get the bug like I did. Of the 7 guitars I have, 6 of them are "Junior style". I even mods to the old tele last year and turned it into a Esq...

Re: NGD

Haha. My first P90 was my mid 2000's LPJ and I havn't looked back. All of my guitars are P90 equipped now (except my early 2000's LP Studio. It sounds way too nice to mess with the pickups heh). I absolutely love how dynamic and spanky they can be but as you said with a turn of the knob they start t...

Re: NGD

Oh man! I had one of those for a few days before returning it for some horrible finish flaws. It was killer with my R30. I was shocked how great the cleans sounded. Good find man! The SG Junior was last on my list until I found this beauty: https://photos.app.goo.gl/wrJs5JwkDbRf5B739 Almost all of m...

Re: What size machine screws for the TT Combo?

NVM braved the air and did it the old fashioned way. 10-32 X 1 1/2" is all they had (little short but still fit fine).
