I like the new look, the old forum was quite out of date compared to any other website so it's good to have a modern forum.

Once teething issues are sorted I'm sure it will be better, but yes, a quick reply is needed.

Yeah, carvin stuff is usually well priced. Just remember that 180w isn't much and won't handle anyhting other than small shows without PA support. (May also only put out full power with an extension cab.) Even then, as it's a 1x15 it won't project/cut through great so dont buy it blind, give it a wh...

Last time I played one was about three or more years ago, so this is only from memory. The cleans and crunch tones weren't great, can do much better for the price and they sound nothing like Marshall tones that we know and love. The high gain tones are better, very modern sounding, but again you can...

^ AFAIK Van Cleef is in Adelaide which is a whole state away, so he is safe. :) Toll is over 170 now. The response from the community has been great, $10 million had been donated by the public just a day after the disaster. The footy team that I barrack for has decided to donate all proceeds from fr...

^ I've got relos in Vegas, it's actually really nice there. I wish we could average out some temperature Blainy, especially seeing as I had to work in 47 degree temps, with no air con. :( Yea, just heard some from someone, apparently the people in Marysville had about four minutes to leave once the ...

^ It's probably a combo of your guitar and playing style. I never break strings. I think people who break alot of strings tend to bash thier strings the wrong way. You can still hit them hard ala SRV/Malcolm Young and not damage them so I think its a technique thing. Provided that you nut/saddles ar...

^ No one expected the fires to be so bad, and they move in seconds not minutes. You can't outrun these fires unless you leave in advance. They happen every year and are a part of life in bush towns, so many people stay to defend thier homes. The people that did stay probably didn't expect this level...

When I used Dean Markleys I changed them every two weeks, by which time they would be black. Ernie Balls only last two hours with my hands before they start to go black. So now I use elixers, worth the price. Dont sound as good as Markleys but they keep the tone longer, IMO a few weeks of good tone ...

I was just wondering if news of the bushfires in Victoria have reached the U.S. or Europe. Is the U.S. sending aid like we did for the cali bushfires? After a week of 40+ (104 farenheit) temperatures my state has been ravaged by bushfires, the worst we've ever had. Entire towns have been destroyed, ...

^ Stay away from MG's or any SS Marshall. Horible tone and build qualitiy. I had a Cube 30, it does fine for running CD's through. Just remember that it will be in mono and the sound won't be as clean as having a stereo. A radio/cd player might be the best option, as in a small boombox type thing. W...

^ Stop it, you're making me wanna buy an attenuator! Oh well, when the Weber MASS 2 comes out it's mine.

How do you find channel switching when you need to turn off the screamer and switch the channel?

I think you'll get more out of lessons with a guitar teacher in person. Look around, have a single lesson with each teacher untill you find one you like.

They are amazing. And to think they started as a thrash band in Mexico.
