Re: Rocker 30 or Thunderverb 50?

The TV50 wouldn't HAVE to sound just like a Rocker 30, it would just be less risky to buy one without trying knowing that I can get a sound that's close enough to it if I don't find any other tones in there that I like even better. As much as I love my Rocker 30, I only use it as a home practice am...

Re: Rocker 30 or Thunderverb 50?

If you're wanting to get an amp that's pretty close to the R30 in sound, then keeping the R30 is the best bet! I mean what's gonna sound closer to an R30 than the amp itself. Just try an EQ pedal on the natural channel, if you like it then you've saved yourself some money, if you don't, well y...

Re: anyone use a SHO/Super Duper with their orange?

I use an SHO clone that neil made and it's really good, I've ended up just keeping it on all the time, but it does work well for boosting. Not sure how much that helps being I'm using a clone of the pedal, but I'm sure it'd sound similar

edit: oh and I use it with a R30 and TT

Re: Gibson's at it again . . .

Gibson just posted this on their facebook page: http://www.theatlanticwire.com/business/2011/08/how-turn-guitarists-tea-partiers-take-their-gibsons-away/41787/ Didn't know you can have your guitar taken away if you travel with it unknowingly having illegal woods. Seems a bit harsh to punish the cons...

Re: What should I add to the family: Tele or SG?

sg with p90s hands down, my sg classic is so good to play, and sounds really good. As always though, just go to the music shop and give the tele and sg a go, we can only tell you our personal favourites

Re: RIP Amy Winehouse

I feel sorry for her family, no-one wants to have to go through losing family, but I don't feel sorry for her. She had her chances but kept on going down the same path, it was only going to end one way and that's proven itself true.

Good singer and all, just a bad decision maker

Re: OT: Playstation network is down

I'm on PSN, I'm not too fussed about it being down in all honesty, I never really play online anyway, but I'm looking forward to this welcome back program they're doing, free Playstation+ for a month and 2 free games! admittedly they won't be great games, but hey, it's 2 games I probably wouldn't ha...

Please could you all do me a huge favour

My friends band is in a competition against a few thousand other bands to play the Benicassim festival in Spain, they're currently in the top 20, but they need more votes. It'd be really cool if any of you guys could spare a few mins and vote for them please :), you have to sign up, but it'll only t...
