Man, that was nice watching that Jesus Chris Pose vid... forgot how much I used to like that song, and how much I love Matt Cameron. I just watched 30 seconds of the Timbaland song on youtube... yuck.

This might not be it but some of my true bypass pedals build up a pop which goes away by repeatedly pressing the switch until it goes away (it's like static build-up or something, not really sure). My Deluxe Memory Man does this whenever I bring it somewhere else and the popping goes away after 10-2...

Topic: how to boost the TT Head for solo? which pedals?

If you don't want to lower the gain on your TT and want something to stick out more for solos try a treble boost with a treble/mid/full switch (I use Analogman's Beano Boost; it also cleans up very nicely with your guitar's volume knob). You could also set your TT to a lead tone and use an EQ pedal ...

I'm not going to mention how awesome the AC15 Heritage is at doing exactly what you're looking for. :D

I've been running my TT and AC15 together lately and they compliment each other very well. I love the midrange the TT adds. Sounds best with both amps cranked. I bet the Night Train/TT will be a nice combo. I'm also drooling over the AC4... seems like the perfect practice/travel amp.

I was really into Company Flow, El-P, Aesop Rock, Mr Lif, Del the Funky Homosapien, Hieroglyphics, and that kind of stuff back in high school. None of those artists fit MaxRossell's description IMO. Don't care for any of the more mainstream stuff except for Wu-Tang and A Tribe Called Quest.

Analogman Beano Boost w/ Orange and Vox amps. Keeley BD-2 w/ Fenders (I loved it into my friend's Twin Reverb).

I'd really like to try the Hot Cake sometime since my AC15 is non-MV. I'm not very into pedals but it seems very useful.

I like alnico speakers. Celestion Blue is my favorite, but the Red Fang is very nice as well and is what I used when I owned a Rocker 30. Cannabis Rex is also a great speaker that gave my TT a bit of an American flavor.

Cool thread idea. 'Drum's Not Dead' by Liars is pretty much the only album I'm hooked on at the moment. Brilliant band.

Thanks everyone! I play music with several friends at school... two separate acts, but it's all improv jam type stuff. I'd love to be in a band where I can write music with others, but I'm in college so it's easier for me to do the improv stuff with others and the writing on my own. It's also a chal...

I have it available for download at www.myspace.com/dlarochelle in the About section (titled 'I Personally'). My first solo album, recorded last summer, featured the Tiny Terror on all the guitar and bass tracks. This album has the TT, Rocker 30, and AC15 Heritage on different tracks and all around ...
