Well, no. That would be an exaggeration. But the "break up" from the Mustang is nothing like my SG Classic w/ P-90's or my HH Jaguar.

The Mustang's distortion is more like a blues pedal break up. Very mild compared to my other guitars.

Re: Today is my last day...without a Mustang

Oh. And it DIDN'T come with the tremolo arm. So, I'm out another $8.99 for a replacement! If you voted "Yep", sorry about that!

Re: Today is my last day...without a Mustang

Here's my "new" guitar, all polished up with new strings and a home-brew setup. It's shown against my new cedar fence, also finished this weekend. (The fence cost WAY more than the guitar!). Love this thing. With my Ampeg and the Tiny Terror, the cleans are really amazing. Without a pedal, I can't m...

Re: Today is my last day...without a Mustang

My vote is FOR tremolo arm! Hope you like it man! I had one for a brief time, but I couldn't get on with the feel - the short scale made it feel a little small and toyish in my hands. However, I was switching from my SG Standard at the time. The guitar sounded bright, I liked the pups a lot, ...

Re: Today is my last day...without a Mustang

The seller didn't say whether it includes the all-important tremolo arm, so I made a prediction on http://ipredikt.com" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; that it *will* include one. What do you think?

Today is my last day...without a Mustang

Tomorrow I'm picking up my first Mustang, a '65RI in Oly White with the red tort pickguard.

I can't wait to lose my 'Stang virginity to this thing, and start playing it through my Tiny Terror.

Re: OT: Video of my kid doing Nirvana & Wipers covers @ Folklife

Holy **** that's cool! More kids need to be listening to bands like the Wipers. Correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't they also do "Alien Boy?" Yep, "Alien Boy" is a Wipers' classic. Actually, all their stuff is killer. The Wipers are one of the great Power Trios of all time. You can still order re-i...

Maybe I should get him an Orange Micro Crush PiX and glue a belt clip-on thingy to it...

OT: Video of my kid doing Nirvana & Wipers covers @ Folklife

The last time I posted a link to a video on this site, it was my son covering Nirvana's "Smells Like Teen Spirit" using my Orange Tiny Terror. This time around, he was using my Roland MicroCube at Seattle's annual Folklife Festival held last weekend in the pouring rain. It was my 11 year old's 1st b...

Re: New cab for Tiny Terror

I took the easy way out and just had Avatar build me an orange-tolex covered cube-shaped 1x12 partially open-backed cab. Mine's loaded with a Hellatone 30 (the broken-in version of a G12H30).

Re: OD pedal...

If you like your Blues Driver, you should also check out a DS-1.

Frankly, I *LIKE* my DS-1. A LOT! Don't know what all the hate is about. I think it's a great pedal.

Re: My orange-colored DIY pedalboard project

Sweet dude..... Can you please tell me what cable pugs you are using to hook your pedals up to one another? They seem to save a lot of space........ very economical. If you work your way through the original thread on Harmony Central (I think the link above points to the HC thread) you'll see a sum...

Re: #2 Pencil lead on your nut and saddles anyone?

I do this liberally w/ all my guitars whenever I change strings.

I'd like to try Nut Sauce, but that stuff is dang expensive. I'm sure it's great stuff...but #2 pencil lead is free!
