Nice! I think Fender has been sneaking in some nice Squiers - the Jagmaster has been on my GAS list for a while.

I'd get a decent interface (they are cheap) with enough inputs to do however many people you are recording at the same time. I prefer three or four mics on drums (Google recorderman method and the Glyn Jons method of recording drums - both are spectacular AND simple) and rarely will I close mic any ...

You'd spend a lot more collecting guns of any decent quality. Either they were talking about some crappy short shotgun (Mossberg would have something of that nature in the low-rent category at around that price IIRC) or their gun example was about as accurate as the rest of the forensic "science" on...

pretty masked by production/effects, but the amp seems like it may be a JC-120 with that signature chorus maybe some flanger added in there. Thought eBow, compression, obviously distortion, even slide masked a bit by some post-tracking tweaks but I think it is just JC-120 or similar 80's chorus + sl...

Go 15 watts and get a Blues Junior and turn it down. Cleans are good even at lower levels. I got mine second hand for less than street price of the SCXD someone mentioned (which is supposed to sound OK after a speaker change and small mod to be able to keep the digital FX out of the signal path).

lots of mass, double or triple sheetrock the walls with some sort of vinyl mass loaded barrier between each layer, etc. Soundproofing is a misnomer, you are lucky to reduce it to a reasonable level unless you plan to spend a gazillion bucks for an anechoic chamber (was in a nearly soundproof room at...

After all music is as much about the silence as it is the sound. Well done, Mr Shameless Self-promoting Shredder.

Were you using the DS-1 as well? I have an extra unmodded DS-1 around, never pushed it or the modded one I have into the TT. Might have to try now. I know a lot of folks are kind of snitty about the DS-1 but shouldn't start that up :)
