Can't remember exactly what it cost GuitarMonkey but I think it was around £80 - £90 including everything.

I took my ORS100 Pics only Plexi to Jeff at Matamp. Dave gave it a thorough looking at and fitted new caps and valves etc. so I could use it without fear of it letting me down. Those guys are well qualified to look at your amp without doubt!!. After all they built most of them!!

A good way round having the kettle lead for your amp PAT tested is to buy a new one every year and keep the receipt with you. They cost around £1.00 - £1.50 each which is cheaper than what most PAT testers wanna charge you. As far as I know you only need it PAT testing when it's over 12 months...

I'd go for the Ovation Celebrity CP247. I did, and it's everything it's claimed to be.
Should come within the budget if you shop around.
