Re: New single is out, OR15 again!

Nice tones! Congrats!

The smaller amps are pretty handy for recording eh? Did ye record live as a band or did ye do guide tracks and overdubs?

I love recording live but it's a real challenge to get it right.

Congrats again!

Re: The Orange Sound

I did the same when I had one but in the end I just found the rocker 30 to be a bit too wild for my liking. It definitely has that orange character tho....just wild. The AD30 definitely has a vintage vibe going on. Classic sounds all over the place and you can get the tubes cooking a bit too which i...

Re: Fuzz roundup

The GAS won! I couldn't resist and it was a steal on Reverb https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/51111255632_ed4cde7c85_w.jpg This thing is    At low gain with the bias turned down it's in the Led Zep territory completely like dazed and confused or communication breakdown but wi...

The Orange Sound

I was milling thru a bunch of youtube video's and watched Rhett Schull's (hope i spelled that right) video posing the question of 'what is the Orange Sound'. Nice video well recorded and some really kick ass tones. He shows us his Orange AD30 Single Channel Head and then demo's another YouTuber's (c...

Re: Delay Roundup

I'd say if it weren't for the orange amps forum I wouldn't know what a carbon copy is :p

Great pedal tho! No doubting that :D

Re: Delay Roundup

At one point, I had three Echoplexes...! I listed them all on ebay and two of them sold. Ironically, the one that didn't sell was the best-sounding one! You use it with your AD30s? I'd imagine you'd want a fair bit of clean headroom to get the most out of one of those? Or how do you set it up? Cos ...

Re: Delay Roundup

Now I'm thinking about why I still own an Echoplex..... I'd say they sound amazing though? I've never heard real tape echo other than demos or on records. They look cumbersome but damn if your in the studio then why not!? ... Kinda like the fuzz roundup it's cool how many approaches and options the...

Delay Roundup

Interested to see what everyone's using in their delay configuration Currently have a mxr carbon copy placed after a catalinbread echorec for my ethereal vibes. But I had been using a DD6 instead of the echorec and kinda wonder should I go back to it or another digital delay. I had really good resul...

Gain stacking

Gain stacking then On my board I have Fuzz -> Hudson Broadcast desk like preamp -> Zvex Box of Rock Bluesbreaker Style -> Hudson Sidecar TS style I have the fuzz set to pretty diabolical fuzz - then I have the Broadcast light side set pretty clean like a touch of hair and a nice volume boost the hea...

Re: Ever take a flip onstage?

A first gig in a new venue with a band and the singer had a sore throat and stuffy head and wanted to cancel so the bar manager started plying him with hot whiskey from about 7pm to cure his ailments . Not ones to be left behind the drummer and I joined in the self medication. By 11pm things were we...

Re: Is making an EP a realistic goal

Sounds great! Don't Forget Your Beans was pretty cool. I like your usage of delay and reverb there for the leads. Cheers boyos I'm actually after sending off two tracks to a drummer friend mine to lay down some drums and do a bit of editing. We can't actually go to people's houses here at the momen...

Re: Anyone Still Rockin' an SP212?

Hey fella I'm sorry it didn't work out for you. I never found it to struggle at all like your describing and perhaps it's simply that the setup needs a bigger kick than your valve head is offering. I honestly don't know. My markbass gives a fair whack. At 300watts at 8ohms class D. I'm sure you won'...
