Sounds like you blew a fuse. There will be two fuses on the back of the amp, most likely one of those will be gone. The amp will still light up but no sound. The most likely cause is a voltage issue if yer not in the UK OR a bad power valve. Do you have spare tubes? change them and see if the fuse b...

I would say at least £50 for the head, maybe more. The cab....well that would just be ridiculous! :)

Hello folks, Due to an imminent lack of storage space, some of my Orange gear is going to have to go. I mainly use my Matamp for gigs these days (20 watts) so the Oranges are just taking up space at the moment. If anyone is interested in anything let me know, otherwise i'll be putting a load of stuf...

If it's tatty and has non-original speakers in it, £250 is a good dela for you. Old Orange cabs appear every now and then from £50 - £500. I paid £45 for mine. Basically, it's worth what someone willpay for it.......if £250 is good enough for you, then go for it.

I had one of those, with greenbacks, pix only faceplate in metal. Speakers dated it late '72. And yes it was loud. I think they just chucked a 120 head in and whipped out 2 tubes, possibly changed the impedance taps to suit. I figured it was factory, but who knows.

Is it the HT fuse? this is generally (afaik) the point of failure when you have bad power tubes. If you have some spares, put em in and try a new fuse, if it doesn't blow, voila! Get 'em biased and away you go.

Hey twang, how are ya? I would have thought that as the AD140 is unlikely to ever run with anything other than a 4x12, and the Orange 4x12s are 16 ohms (aren't they?), it would be logical that the two 8 ohm outputs are for running a pair of 16 ohm cabs?

Bear in mind that true bypass isn't always the best solution - if you have lots of pedals and long leads, all true bypass, you effectively have an extremely long lead, which leads to degradation of tone in itself. In some cases (not all, though), buffered outputs are a better bet. Just ask Roger May...
