Re: NAD Fryette Power Station
Hi Had one for a few years now and it is an excellent piece of gear. Used it as an attenuators for valve amps to silly low volume , boosting 15 watt amps to higher volumes, running pod xt through it ( doesn’t really make it sound any more like a valve amp as the whole point is the Fryette doesn’t co...

Re: NGD. Les Paul
The buerstbucker 1 and 2 is a nice set. I have a 2006 Les Paul classic that I put them in. Did have the Slash alnico set in before but found the neck too muddy, think the weight of the guitar was a factor.

Re: A higher wattage or15
How about a left of field solution.
Get a Fryette Power Sataion, you can play at really quiet levels or.... boost your OR15 to 50 watts.

The Jenson p12r is 95db ( 16 ohm version).
May be easier to get and there's clips on YouTube etc.

Re: or120 + fryette power station
I picked a fryette up a few months back, best attenuator I've had ( have a micromass and Jim Kelley). The effects loop is also great for adding reverb etc to my Tiny Terror. Use it with the TT, OR15, black heart bh5, black star ht 5 and a Laney lionheart. Swaps from amp to amp really nicely as well....

Re: Attenuator for indoor use of an old OR120
Hi,
I'm using the fryette power station, really great piece of kit.
Kind of a dummy load, reactive attenuator come reamp device.
It does manage amps upto 150 watts so not sure if a 120 amp is pushing it a bit too Vlose to its limits.

Re: NPD
I asked if they were potted and told no, Ive adjusted the pole pieces and no wax came out. Seems to be a divided opinion, some say the ones fitted as factory pickups are wax potted but ones for sale are not. Mine came from a guitar with the pickup mounting rings still attached so definitely factory ...

Bought some Gibson Burstbuckers (1 and 2) on eBay and put them in my Les Paul (2002 classic). Previously had the Slash alnico 2 pros in but never happy with the neck pickup, always sounded a little dull despite fitting 500k pots, 50s wiring, brighter capacitor in neck etc. The Bb 1 is low output and...

Nice, played one a few years back through a Rockerverb ( think it was a mark I) and was awesome. I really liked the boost from the toggle, very natural sounding.

Re: What's up with the drastic OR100 price drop?
Noticed the AD 30, Thunderverb and OR 50 have a drop as well, even 4x12 cabs.
Trouble is I'm gassing for a Rockerverb mark 3.........
