Solidstate amp or tube amp? Solidstate fine, tube not fine. You can easily rewire a 16ohm cab as 4ohm cab just open it up and tell us if each speaker is 16ohms or 4ohms. BTW if its a SS amp, it will push the speakers harder if you wire it as a 4ohm cab. Quite a lot louder. So if you planning on usin...

The two 16ohm drivers in parrallel, in series with one 8ohm driver. Will give you an interesting 3x12 at 16ohms. Let me know how it sounds. P.S. I am sorry, you can't have a 4x12. Ill post a picture lata if you willing to try it. My 4x12 is a 2x12 with the top drivers out (holes) don't knock it til ...

Unfortunately your logic is flawed. Ohms is not the reason for volume difference. Unless you are refering to solid state amps. Which is the exact opposite:4 speaker 4 ohm cab will be louder than same speakers wired 16 ohms. What you are hearing is the volume difference between the crate drivers and ...

I love double locking trems. I used to actually use the whammy, but now its just locked so it doesn't go up or down. Fine tuners and locked nut. I never have to tune much if at all before a gig. I carry a backup guit when my strings pass the 3 week mark. Never stress about snapping strings. Cheers. ...

Which Fender? Haha. Most guys that want 'fender cleans' have never heard a proper fender. My OR120 has a F.A.C. That makes it very versatile. It can be painfully bright even through 12's and remain musical. I don't mind jamming on the churches Fenders (a deville and a deluxe) but neither of these ar...

Line 6 is incredible... In your room, at the shop. This amp is very midscooped. It is not a easy amp to dial at a gig. But i am sure you can get great tones if you treat it with subtlety and don't make the heaviest sound 'cos you can' A friend had that bogner line 6 thing. But after 1st gig. It was ...

Crime Statistics are not allowed to be published here in RSA. So don't believe everything you read. I love this country tho. By staying with a 'foster family' instead of a hotel, you'd have some good info. Keep in mind that we are pretty negative bout our country here. If you do a bit or research an...
