looking good on the new guitar front. how does it stack up to the tele's?
i seem to remember frank playing a jcm900, can't say i'd opt for a crate with all of the choices out there today...

Re: Orange Amps &/E.Q Pedals
as a quick addition to bfits' comments, i think the way either a graphic or parametric eq works is fundamentally different to the shape knob on the dark terror. i use a tiny terror, and the 'eq' on that is a tone knob... brighter / darker. i feel like the shape knob is a little more versatile for di...

Re: Using The 7 Watt Side Of Terrors
Tiny Terror owner since around 2007?... picked up one of the 2nd run of korean ones after they moved the standby onto the 15/7 watt switch and before they moved the production to china. Yeah, i'd agree with jondog in regards to the 'more compressed' comment. it's effect is certainly subtle, in regar...

Re: Why/how did the forum lose its popularity?

Re: Delay pedal suggestions ....tc electronic or way huge..
Ronnie, Where about's in 'the north' are you? i've got a supa puss, aqua puss, line 6 m5 (which has all the dl4 sounds in it) an AD9, an ehx echo #1 , a flashback mini and an akai head rush. i like 'em all for different stuff. most versatile would have to be the line 6, as it does everything. most m...

Re: Transparent Overdrive? I Have Discovered The Secret!!!
i've got a way huge pork loin and a visual sound VS-XO. both have a clean blend control. the VS-XO blends in your original signal, where as the pork loin does purposefully colour the clean. the T-rex Moller and voodoo labs sparkle drive both have clean blends on them also. i believe both of these ar...

Re: New Guitar Trouble
i believe there's an old school of thought that suggests if you're removing strings, slacken the truss rod - as it's there to counteract the strings - no strings means no need to have the truss rod tightened. a google search will show up some info on this... Nope, I'd not exactly be going along wit...

Re: New Guitar Trouble
as some of the others have said; "not a musical sound" i assume you've put new strings on and stretched them out plenty... so, when you tune the low E, and hit that. unfretted, does it ring true, stay in tune? how about the other strings? if yes to all... back to the low E, when you fret the 1st fre...

Re: NPD - An Oler Audio original!
thanks. i've done this using a loop switcher; like a carl martin octaswitch with a pedal in front, and one in the loop. having an all in one solution would be great for those that want a large volume boost and more compression/gain from the preamp. really valuable for those who use high levels of pr...

Re: NPD - An Oler Audio original!
good to hear he's doing well. i remember seeing the carvin vintage 16 video he did and the rebote delay too. too funny! another awesome use for this; put one side in front of the amp and one side in the fx's loop. push the front end for more compression/saturation, push more volume through the loop ...
