Nice score. The TT is a nice sounding amp. I’d recommend checking out 15W mode. I personally think it sound better than 7W mode, even at the same volume.
Enjoy! It sound like you got a great amp at a great price.

Re: NAD Fryette Power Station
You sure make a compelling case for it!!!! It's a great unit! Nothing is perfect, and it is somewhat heavy and cumbersome to carry around to gigs (extra cables to plug in, something else to carry and set up). But it solved some big problems for me, and really opened up doors for recording wit...

Re: NAD Fryette Power Station
The Power Station is great. I’d consider it the limit of current technology when it comes to this stuff. I’ve used it to gig and record pretty much all of my amps, and with fantastic results. It has some limitations: -It’s expensive and larger/heavier than other attenuators. It’s not passive, so you...

Re: Recording an Orange Amp
Hardware options with analog cab sim are the cheapest, but the least convincing. HK Redbox, Mesa Cab Clone, etc. A reactive load + digital cab IR will sound much much better. Choose your preferred reactive load, and you can get the IR from a plug in within your recording software, or a hardware unit...

I opened up my 1978 OR-80 OD and made a list of the capacitors. Outside of the chassis: 2x 100 uf 450 VDC Inside of the chassis 2x 32uf 450 VDC 2x 10uf 160v 2x 47N 1KV 2x 47uf 25 WVDC 2x 15uf 450V Here are pics: https://i.imgur.com/ZieXMEX.jpg https://i.imgur.com/5LzTe6f.jpg The layout and number o...

Re: Looking for my first Orange Amp but I've got some questions to you guys.
I’m confused. You say you like a bright sounding amp, but you also say that you’re running the treble knob extremely low, and that the sound is dull as a result. Am I missing the reason why you don’t just turn the treble up? Don’t forget to utilize the tone control on your guitar. That knob is a ver...

Re: Were there differences in OR-120s over the years?
Good info, thx nick! What model names do these 90's ones go by? As Billy mentioned, the same as the 70's models: OR-80 and OR-120. They look just like the 70's pics and text models. You need a discerning eye to tell the difference. They're so similar, I've seen 90's model listed as 70's, and vice v...

Re: Were there differences in OR-120s over the years?
There's a 1974 for sale locally, non-pics only. Was there any internal differences with the pics only and non-pics versions? First yt review I watched said it's not a great pedal platform. Not sure if he meant because there's no effects loop. Which vintage ones are popular with stoner/doom players?...

Re: AD30tc volume drop
Swap the pre-amp tubes from one channel to the other and see if that changes anything.
As Ronnie mentioned, channel 2 has a little more gain and should be slightly louder at the same settings. But what you're describing isn't normal.

Re: 100-120 / 230-240
Did he turn the amp on? Depending on whether or not the standby switch was set to on, or how long the amp was energized, that could cause quite a bit of damage. 100V or 120V mains primary winding will raise the internal voltages significantly more than the 230V or 240V setting. So when switched to t...

Re: Bought a or120 from 1974. Wich cover from arangeamps fits?
The Orange "AD30HTC, Custom Shop, RK30H, TH30H, OR50" cover fits a vintage OR-120. The Orange covers are ok. There isn't really any padding to speak of. Tuki, Studio Slips, or other cover makers have nice padded ones that are a bit nicer (without the Orange name on the front).

Re: AD30TCH Clone
I would agree with all points mentioned, it is mostly for experience and hobby, especially considering I find nothing wrong in general with the amp. I do just want to be able to tweak it for adding things like pentode and triode modes, half power mode, maybe a high/low input, single master volume, ...

Re: AD30TCH Clone
Most Fender and Marshall clones are of vintage circuits that are expensive and/or hard to find. People aren't generally out there cloning HRD's, DSL401s, or other modern PCB designed amps that are cheap and easy to buy. The other consideration is that those old Marshalls and Fenders were originally ...

Re: Fake Gibson on eBay?
Not showing US logos on the video was probably part of the deal to get the tour. The websites selling them are careful not to show the headstock logo although in some you can see the Gibson custom shop logo on the back of the headstock. Entirely plausible. Ah, the Custom shop logo...that's the wonk...
