I used to have both a Hot Rod DeVille and a Blues DeVille, and now I play an Orange AD30TCH through Marshall and Fender 412's (Orange 412 coming soon...) The Orange is a much more versatile amp. I love the tone. If you're looking to get a great clean and dirty tone out of the same amp, you should lo...

I play punk rock with an AD30HTC, and constantly get compliments on my tone. I run it through a Marshall 412 with Celestion 12-75's and a Fender Tone Master 412 with V30's. As soon as I have some spare cash, I'll upgrade to the Orange PPC412. I use this setup with a Gibosn SG, and it really rocks. -JP

I always take them off and re-solder all the connections. As far as re-biasing...even Mesa/Boogie amps, which are a "fixed bias" amp should be re'biased aft...

<BLOCKQUOTE id=quote><font size=1 face="Verdana, Arial, Helvetica" id=quote>quote:<hr height=1 noshade id=quote> why dont you just daisy chain the cabinets and plug the top one into one of the 8ohm speaker outs. why would you want to run a y-cable? sounds like a hassle to me. <hr height=1 noshade id...

Yes, I understand that an amp has to work twice as hard to create power at 1/2 of the impedence. My question is: Are the two 8 ohm jacks designed to run 2 16 ohm cabs (the two jacks wired in parallel internally for a total mean impedence of 8 ohms) or are they designed to run two 8 ohm cabs for a to...
