A band of angels might just get loud tonight.

Re: PPC212 or OB
You definitely want the PPC212. It sounds better than and as large as many other makes 412. That's why you ordered it. Best to buy locally.

Re: TV50 reverb mod?
A shorter tank would be the easiest fix I reckon. I believe that is correct. The length, and tension of springs is the decay factor. Probably worth a try to stuff a short length of rubber tube in the end of one of the springs to effectively shorten it. It is not hard to break a reverb mechanism, so...

Re: What were they thinking
I heard that the change to front control panels was done as a request by several Orange users. I was watching a video with I think Doug Doppler and he said "You asked, Orange listened" and he was talking about the change from top mounted controls to front mounted. I am sure it was requested by a lo...

Re: OT: Ice Cream
Funny, but I did a blind taste test with some of my students at school of 6 brands of vanilla ice cream. From supermarket chain Stop & Shop's house brand to Ben & Jerry's, Haagen Dazs, Breyer's, etc. etc. High end to low end. Kids chose the supermarket brand as number one and Haagen Dazs dead last....

Interesting. I'd slap a plain black or brown pickguard on it. Brass saddles indeed.
