Re: Line 6 M13

Dude, you should totally be able to get good rock sounds out of your Rocker 30. Use your dirty channel for your rhythm tone and a boost/od or distortion on the natural channel to get a louder lead tone.

Re: Rockerverb 50 MkII

Why is everyone hating on the updated Rockerverbs? I agree the combo's look a little weird, but feature wise, it makes perfect sense. I previously owned a RV50, and the updates to the new version assess the only problems I had with the amp. I prefer EL34's, the reverb came on much too quickly, the f...

Re: Selling my PPC412 and buy a PPC212 instead?

It will honestly sound 90% the same. It might be a little more difficult to hear yourself just because the speakers are lower, but the sound overall will be very close.

Re: A single powered speaker for vocals??...........

That should be more than enough power for just vocals. It will definitely work, you just have to find a good place to position it so everyone can hear you and you don't get excessive feed back.

Re: What a show off...

Wow, learning that was a pretty huge waste of time. His rhythm and feel are pretty crappy, and most of those transistions are horrible. I guess his memory is pretty good.

Re: A sense of style

Speed is definitely a skill. There are ridiculously good metal guitar players. They are really good at playing their specific style of music. If you throw them in to another genre of music they might be missing certain skills, but it works in both directions. Regular rock or blues guys wouldn't do v...

That's funny that they make it's appearance so intriguing! Usually they just put one of those red dip switches that has the voltages labled on it. That switch looks like it could do something amazing!

airforce_brian... Thanks, that makes a bit of sense. My HotRod was cleaner at the same basic volume so it would boost. I'll mess around with the gain a bit later. I guess I was just loving the Orange OD sound...I'm just jazzed about the dynamic response of it just from the my attack. BTW, I was usi...

I find guitar amps sound different all the time, but it's just dependent on what you have been listening to recently, or what room you are playing in. I can guarantee that the sound coming out of your amp is pretty consistent. Les Pauls are rather muddy sounding guitars anyways, so I would imagine t...

9-10 o'clock sounds really early for it to be breaking up, even if you do have really high output pickups. When I had my RV50 it didn't break up until around 1 o'clock with a seymour duncan JB.

Putting a boost pedal in front of your amp is effectively the same as turning your gain knob up because it increases input gain and hits the preamp harder. So if your 2nd channel is already set to a fairly distorted sound, it's going to get more distorted, but not much louder. If you use a cleaner s...

If you want to get good distorted delay sounds without an fx loop, just use a clean setting on your amp and then run an OD pedal in front of the delay box. It's very similar to running a delay pedal in the loop because it is putting the repeating the distorted tone as opposed to distorting what is c...

Definitely release the songs as an EP. There probably isn't a label out there that will sign you based only on hearing your songs. Labels want to see your product selling. They want proof that what you are doing has potential to be successful and make money. Put them up on your myspace, print some c...

I'm sure it's possible to do. I absolutely love the coil tapping on my PRS. It gives you so many options with one guitar. I think certain pickups sound better for coil tapping than others, and I'm not sure how the Hot Rails pickup would sound, but it's worth a shot!

The Rockerverb 50 is a totally different amp than the Rocker 30. I would definitely play one before you buy one of ebay. The Rocker 30 has a punchier sound than the RV50, which is a little soft on the attack due to the 6V6 output tubes. The RV50 has more gain, but it's a really smooth sounding amp. ...
