Just bought a used Orange 4x12. Backplate has no serial #

Hey guys. Just bought an Orange 4x12 from what seemed to be a nice local guy. I have an orange 2x12. I had him take off the back and even confirm that they were vintage 30's in there in pictures. Getting it home I just noticed the backplate of it is not like my orange 2x12. Like this http://www.6-st...

can the orange 2x12 handle a twin reverb reissue?

with the ted weber z matcher can my orange 2x12 (2 vintage 30s rated at 120 watts at the guitar center website... and 240 on the orange site) not sure what is up with that can make twin reverb reissues 85 watts run through this orange cabinet on 10? Some are telling me the twin really puts out more ...

Re: using my twin reverbs speakers for my princeton

hey es thanks for the response, the reason I had to ask again, was i am getting different answers everywhere, and as far as I can see the speakers are wired for 4 ohms, like you said, and the princeton runs at 8, so it is not really the best idea.

I suppose I really need to get an 8 ohm cab

using my twin reverbs speakers for my princeton

I know this is off topic, but I can't get the right answer anywhere 1. I have been doing it with great success, but wanted to confirm that it was ok. The twin reverb runs at 4 ohms while the princeton runs at 8. I only run the twin reverbs speakers with my princeton, thus I am not running the prince...

what is the tiny terror closest too in the orange line?

hey, so finally soon off to school, bringing my princeton reverb with me, got a nice strat for christmas that I was totally loving through the tt. I have money for either a tt or an ac15. But I am curious what the tt closest resembles, I know not the rockerverb series, but is it closest to the rocke...

Re: so is it finally time for me to go orange?

yeah thanks!

the purist in me would rather a class 5.

I would rather not go on a mission to find a speaker for my princeton reverb something it's not.

so is it finally time for me to go orange?

hey guys, like always you always help me out, through a lot of my repetitive questions. Anyway I have been playing various fender blackface amps for the last 4 years, and ever since my drive sound has been a struggle. The cleans are wonderful, but my current princeton reverb is a real struggle to ge...

how do you guys feel about modding amps?

I find this to be an interesting topic, as say somewhere like the gear page there is a ton of focus on it. Some say it's all about how they weren't made like they were back in the day, and I think some just are in pursuit of something that will never be. I find this issue interesting because as you ...

Re: how does a computer retrieve track information etc

yeah one the customer supports told me that it is called cd text, where the track name is displayed on the stereo. But now I am really confused, because I was putting some cds into my downstairs windows computer and they were all unknown unless hooked up to the internet to get the data using windows...

Re: how does a computer retrieve track information etc

yeah If I burn my own cd from the .wav files from itunes and put the track names/artist/composer, and I put the cd back in, it retains all that info. but for example on discmakers they ask you to just upload your .wavs and it doesn't retain that information without burning it in itunes. I suppose th...

how does a computer retrieve track information etc

hey I have some questions about duplication and putting my cd into the computer and it coming up with the artist/band name/ and the correct composer info in itunes/windows media. a lot of duplicators are telling me not to worry, and they will only send me Track-1 Track 2 etc, and that gracenote is w...

Re: orange 2x12 16 ohms.....

damn, well I guess I am going to make 2 different cab purchases then, I really dig my princeton through some darker speakers, loved it through a marshall 4x12.

I noticed marshall lets you switch between 16 and 8, is this less common with a lot of other cabs?

orange 2x12 16 ohms.....

hey guys I really think my next gear purchase will be an orange 2x12, but I don't see the ability to run anything other than 16 ohms... is this true? I see most marshal cabs let you switch between 8.

I really want to run it with my princeton reverb, but it runs at 8 ohms.
