Re: Versatility of the simple, and strange recording methods.

Recording at home I use whatever Orange I think will be appropriate and run it into a Marshall SE-100 speaker emulator which attenuates, load box, cab sim, etc. Works beautifully.... and sounds great!

Re: New Member Here...

Hi welcome to the forum. I've not used the dual terror but it's got a good reputation and there's not been any issues regarding build quality for the Chinese made orange amps reported here... But my first question would as you liked the rocker so much was it not possible to pick up a second hand on...

Re: OR120PA - different from regular OR120?

Cool! Welcome to the forum. If you look at the 1973 catalog scans I put up in serial numbers: https://forum.orangeamps.com/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=4674 you'll see the specifications. It looks like all tube, no solidstate preamp like other ones have had. If you think about it, these are the first master ...

Re: Standby bypass

because tube amp users expect there to be a standby switch. after fender put them in amps for the first time to facilitate amp servicing EVERYONE else copied them. now users EXPECT there to be a standby switch, but you don't need one in a tube amp. look at all the other electronics that use tubes, ...

Why did he design/build it with a standby? because tube amp users expect there to be a standby switch. after fender put them in amps for the first time to facilitate amp servicing EVERYONE else copied them. now users EXPECT there to be a standby switch, but you don't need one in a tube amp. look at...

While you're at it, tighten all screws including the screws holding the chrome loop handles on.

Bring it to an amp tech. It sounds like it may be beyond what you can do yourself.

Re: Trade questions

I don’t want to talk actual prices as that isn’t allowed on the forum but I am curious about trade values. I have a rockerverb mkiii 100 watt head and someone local has a mkiii combo and we are trying to arrange a trade. My experience has always been that a combo loses its value much faster than he...

Re: Part replacement Orange Crush 35RT

So when I open it up I should expect to see some numbers or some sort of part code on the actual pot itself? Seen as how I am not using the amp until it's repaired, I will take it apart and desolder the broken pot tomorrow and see if I can find the replacement online. Do you know of any sites where...

Re: Part replacement Orange Crush 35RT

Yeah, I suspect that you can open it up - write down all of the info on the pot itself - and google it.

There are a lot of those parts available as spares, but as Jon says, we have no idea what it is...

Re: Dual voltage transformer

No idea. I would err on the side of bringing it to an amp tech. Should be quick and relatively inexpensive.
