Re: Crush Pro 60 Combo Speaker Swap?

You can always change out the speaker as long as you get the same ohmage speaker to replace it. Offhand, I don't recall anyone ever posting about swapping out a speaker in a Crush but it's doable. Personally, I love Celestion Vintage 30's but I don't know that they will get you closer to the sound y...

Re: New! Orange guitar designed by Ade!

Strings over the backside of the stop bar is kinda odd though, I never do that myself. I guess with the spacing it's maybe necessary. On my Les Paul I run my stopbar up higher and string it normal. Is there any particular reason to keep the stopbar slammed low and the strings over the top? I have s...

Re: Is there a way of advertising amps for sale here?

The short answer is, no. This is a manufacturer's website and it is their wishes that no buying & selling goes on here. In the old days I would have edited out the info in your post but... that said, hardly anyone ever visits here anymore and you would be better off on the vintage Orange Facebook gr...

Re: NAD incoming

Had an OB for an evening. I did a direct comparison to the 212V which really isn't fair due to the massive difference in speakers. Only thing I noted was how subdued the V30's sounded. Everyone always says new V30's are horrible and harsh, but I was craving more top end bite out of them. The single...

Re: Looks like the perfect car to move your Orange gear!

Oh, I wanted to add that even if I did have a vehicle that could easily transport full rigs like those around, I'm not sure I'd even want to. Approaching 57 this summer, I don't have the strength nor the desire to lug around large heavy gear. As stated I prefer a small rig setup consisting of an al...

Re: Looks like the perfect car to move your Orange gear!

With milk crates of computer accessories & tools I keep in the trunk as a self employed IT Computer guy, I have to place all my musical gear in the back seat when I go to jam with friends, including my Marshall 412 if I'm planning to take that cab with me. When I first got it, I was scratching my h...

Re: One PPC412 vs two PPC212 closed back cabinets

Benefit of one of each is the OB will spread the sound around more. I had an OB for a night and didn't really dig it. I think for a more "consistent tone" a set of the CB would be my choice. Depending on the type of venues you are playing, an open back cab will pretty much ensure that your drummer ...
