no problem, I appreciate the attempts. I removed all the metal valve shields when I replaced all the tubes. it was happening before and after I replaced the tubes, so unless I removed it and put it back on incorrectly, I doubt thats the issue, but I will try that when I get home. the input sockets i...

andy, thanks for the response. I've had the amp for about 2 years now so I don't think it's still under warranty. I was just hoping someone would have said, oh I had that problem, I just _________________ and it works, to try to save myself the money and time without an amp by taking it to a tech. w...

I'm getting a lot of pops and hisses from my clean channel. I went ahead and replaced the preamp tube, and all the tubes for that matter, but still when I switch to the clean channel, I get a lot of pops and hisses and it's terrible sounding. I've been rolling back the volume knob for clean tones, a...

I have pretty decent electronic abilities, and my buddy is really good with a soldering gun and cutting boards... it's not something I would venture on my own, but the two of us would have no trouble.

Charcoal Frost Metallic is a money color. I first saw it on the john mayer signature with the racing stripe... sexy color for sure... it's what I was going for, but like you said, I couldn't find it in that color anywhere

My band used to play in drop C because our singers first band thought they were korn, and he always stuck with that tuning when he started writing new stuff. my prs handled it great, same with the other guitarists les paul... my strats however always had trouble holding that tuning. Both would fall ...

I just got the retube your entire amp kit from eurotubes. so I replaced all the tubes. what initially sparked this was my clean preamp tube was acting weird, so I figured I would just do them all. they were all JJ's and I replaced them with JJ's so the only difference in tone is in the power tubes, ...

before practice got with the bassist and we opened her up and replaced all the tubes and biased the amp. I had her for about 18 months, with about a 6 month hiatus, so it was about time to re-do the powertubes. Got the tubes from eurotubes as well as the bias probe. I was shocked to find out that my...
