i want to try and re-create it. however i dont wanna rip one of my good speaker, if i buy a cheap ss amp and rip the cone will it work with similiarish effect?

my friend asked the question......

"will a tube pedal through a solid sate amp sound good?"

and it got me wondering will it sound half decent? like one of the valve hybrid amps? or just like normal solid state.

my amp soemtimes plays quite clean and then starts to crackle as if heavily distorted, then back to clean. does this sound like a valve problem? cheers

mine is tatty, mine is nice and mine is perfect for my sound, i love it. lol
