Hello folks! Long time no talk / see!
Has anyone on here successfully added Neutrik (+ 1/4" in the middle) jacks to their Orange OB1-300 head?
It'd be nice to have options between Neutrik and 1/4 speaker cables.
Thanks in advance!

Bass dudes; Orange OB-1 500 or Terror Bass 500? Why?
I know I'd have to get the Terror Bass second hand (used) but the OB1-500 has caught my attention.
Although there is a price difference, it's my understanding that the class AB power section is smoother than the class D power section.
Thoughts / opinions?
Thanks in advance!!!

Does that mean we have free reign to pick your original post apart as an "audition"?alexauxier wrote: The style would be yours to decide but you can't write like a 12 year old and if I'm correcting grammar all the time I'll have to drink more (and honestly I drink too much as it is).

What will the "VAC" switch on the back of my AD30 do?
It looks like it has "50" and "60" but I have no clue what this will do.
Can anyone clue me in?
Should I flip it?!?
Thanks!

BOOM!
Thanks for the link; I didn't have time to search for the thread (on my phone at work) and my cell service is terrible there.

Re: Solid state rectifier - will it fry my AD30TC?
I'll be the judge of what's "sacrilege" for my amp. 8) LOL at "valve snobbery." I think there's truth in it, though. He is right about the plate voltage change; the "rush", particularly. Tighter response, not necessarily a change in "tone" is what I seek. I've got new(er) JJs in the amp - I may put ...

Anyone have experience with putting a SS rectifier in your AD30?
If so - what are the results?
Did it catch on fire, or rock your world?

OT: Not getting reading from neck p'up!
So, being the twiddler I am - I've been messing with pickup changes. When I went to put my SD '59 back in the neck of my Les Paul, I noticed that it sounded like a single coil...I took the joker TOTALLY apart to check the connections and everything seemed to be wired properly, but NO CONTINUITY betw...

Re: AD30TC plus Vintage 30s = crap sound to my ears!!!
Speakers were properly in phase... I put my Weber Blue Dog (ceramic) in place of one of the V30s. Major improvement!!! I have more "body" w the Weber with the "kerrang" of the V30 - much like a peanut butter and chocolate or sausage biscuit and grape jelly kind of thing. I'm going to mess around wit...

AD30TC plus Vintage 30s = crap sound to my ears!!!
After really listening to my AD30TC through a PPC212 cabinet, I've come to the conclusion that the V30s aren't cutting it for this head and are robbing it of it's potential!!! Surely I'm not the only one that feels that way. I have a Weber Ceramic Blue Dog 12" that I'm going to put in the cab to see...
