The Tiny Terrors are fitted with JJ 12AX7 preamp tubes straight from the factory in Korea. We are going to be using Chinese 12AX7`s for future Chinese Tiny Terror production as they are less noisy than some of the JJ`s. The JJ EL84`s on the other hand are a pretty good, reliable tube with a really f...

If the plate voltage is over 500vdc you will cherry you screens every time you crank the amp! This is normal so do not worry, the tubes will just about take it! Its one of the main reasons we do not make OR120`s anymore. You can try 2k2 or 2k7 screen resistors. However, if the amp is only doing this...

Sometimes you can have a defective fuse!
I`ve seen them with mechanical faults not to mention the wrong type of wire etc.
Try replacing the mains fuse before buying anything as expensive as tubes.
It may just be a badly made T 2 Amp fuse!

Do not panic! if your amp has done more than say, four or five rehearsals with no problems!
The transformer is fine!
If there is a power transformer problem its gonna show up super quick!
You guys with RV50's that have had em for a while DO NOT WORRY!

The last batch of Dagnall 50w mains transformers had a few bad ones in there. Not all,but just a few! These date back around the end of last year. the Mercury Magnetics and the Demeter units are fine and we no longer use Dagnall for transformers.

Someone from Austrailia was asking about an AD15 output transformer. We have some new and improved ones at Orange so he will not have a problem getting one but it may take time and cost money to ship! Contract AMI (our distributor) Alternative:- Any 8k primary with C.T. with an 8/16 ohm secondary ou...

OK guy`s! I`m sorry we did`nt make the NAMM show with these two pieces but we launched them at Frankfurt instead to cap off our tube range! Anyone who likes AC/DC will need to own a Tiny Terror as it nails the first 3 albums at around half way on the gain control! Have you ever made your speakers ge...

The Tiny Terror has a metal sleeve because:- 1. You can walk 4 miles with it with your guitar to a show if you have to and still be louder and sound way better than the guy at the gig you just blagged a 4/12 off of! 2. It is cheaper to make and therefore cheaper to you guys! 3. It allows us to cut c...

You will get around the same volume with EL34`s! Just bias the amp in the regular way. It works out at 40m/a per tube for two EL34`s in the Rockerverb 50 if you measure the current passing through them. You are gonna see around -32v on pin 5. I love the sound of the new JJ KT77`s and I`m probably go...

The slave output on the AD200 is not from the pre-amp its from the output stage! You must have speakers connected to the amp as well when you take a line out from the slave socket. You will get (at line level) what the amp is doing and that will actually change depending on what cabs you use because...

No, maxing the EQ wont do it! However, EQ defeat is possible on an AD30! Probably the best way is to change the mid pot from 25k LIN to 250k LOG. The mid will then work as normal from 0 to 4 but 4 will be mid on max on a standard amp. Anything over 4 will start lifting the whole EQ out of the circui...

The AD15 has a dual gang 100k pot instead of the two resistors in a vee found in a non master volume amp.
Simply put, this means that when the master is dimed on an AD15, it is a non master volume amp!:D

If the pedel is not true bypass you will hear it in any FX loop! Its probably best to only use time based stuff in the loop and keep them down to a maximum of two pedels. Also maybe have the stuff in the loop close to the amp on short leads and anything in front of the amp at the front of the stage....
