You can remove the reverb valve, it will not cause a problem to do so.

Check that your tubes are seated properly in the sockets. Shipping could have rattled a tube slightly loose so that it was not making good contact. If it continues to be a problem, please contact me either by email or phone.

Please be aware that running your amp without a reverb tank may damage the reverb transformer. It is supposed to be connected to a load at all times (ie. the reverb tank), just the same way your output transformer is connected to a speaker load. It can survive for a little while with the tank remove...

No problem, Andy. I think we're both saying the same thing but going about it a different way... At the end of the day, what matters most is what sounds good to you. Personally, I think a 212 sounds better than 2 112's. Actually, I prefer the sound of a 412 over all, though it doesn't ...

Hey Andy H.... I think you may have misread, or I should have clarified, (why I dislike forums) what I said.... When I said:
quote:
as the volume of the cab stays the same per cab...<hr height="1" nosha...

No, I would not say more clean headroom at all. The headroom of the cabinet, meaning before it is driven into saturation, is already pretty high with a 60 Watt speaker on a 15 Watt amp, so you would not notice a difference with 1 or two speakers. The headroom of the amp is more affected by the level...

With a PPC212, you will have more low end (even more with a PPC412) because of the volume of air inside the cabinet. The mids will be less 'forward'. It will round out the sound of the amp, making it sound fuller.

Jim uses two RK100's into two 412's for Stone Sour and Slipknot. He has one stack on stage and the other is firing in a mic'd iso cab backstage. The transformer design and output voltage swing of a RK100 allows for a bit more bottom end, which is well suited for heavy guitars. The TV200 is also grea...

I have included a sticky at the top of the forum, so that (hopefully) Orange amp owners in the USA who read this forum will know who to contact in case there is ever a problem.

Our warranty procedure is pretty simple, just call us first!

Thanks!

The 40th Anniversary amps are clearly named on the back panel, and this is not one.

It's the back panel of a one-off prototype. Not sure where that picture came from, as it is the only one like it that exists!
