Re: Delay Roundup
I don't use a lot of delay currently. I mostly like reverb. And sure you can stack reverb and delay together, plenty of people do, but I kinda prefer to use only one or the other at any time so it stands out better. Used together, it starts to kinda "blur" the sound a little too much for my tastes. ...

Not really familiar with the AD30. Never played one, never heard one. Re: Is making an EP a realistic goal
It's a site called Swagbucks. I dunno how much I can "recommend" it really. The surveys aren't so easy to get into. You always have to answer several preliminary questions about sex, birthdate, race, income, zip code, etc. You get disqualified for many before you finally get one that you can get all...

Re: Baritone guitars....
Just got this- bought a Fender conversion baritone neck from their website; originally planned on replacing the neck on one of my Teles; then spotted this loaded lefty Tele body on ebay and voila! So Fender sells baritone sized necks and all you gotta do is swap out a regular neck for the longer on...

Re: Your first guitar...
I'm not sure, thats the only markings inside it. If I had a tiny camera on some kinda crookneck thing, I could take pics of the inside of it to show you the construction method of it. It's AWFUL. It's NOT made properly. The wood they used for the top and back is too thick and heavy to ever get a dec...

Re: Is making an EP a realistic goal
When I started looking for my Focusrite Scarlet 2i2, it was priced at about 150. At some point in late January, everyone jacked the price of it up another 10 bucks. I've been noticing Gibson doing this kinda thing with their guitars in the past several years. Every year, they tack on another 100 buc...

Re: Fuzz roundup
I know the topic is "fuzz"... I know this... we know this... but... I should also mention... I dunno about other Orange amps, but my Rockerverb 100 mk3 is kinda lacking in the high frequency zone at lower volumes. I keep the treble maxed out, and it still isn't quite bright enough. To solve this pro...

Re: Your first guitar...
I first picked up a guitar when I was probably 12 I think. I found it sitting in a dark dank corner in the basement, behind a bunch of rusty old junk, covered in spider webs. It only had 5 strings on it. But I tuned a couple of the strings to the same note and using one finger across the strings I m...

Re: Is making an EP a realistic goal
The SSL-2 is an amazing piece of gear, interface-wise. Reasonably priced and sounds amazing. https://www.solidstatelogic.com/assets/components/phpthumbof/cache/SSL%202%20-%20Overhead%20banner.e92690a4dbfeeabe4be1d9d160c4dd2c.png I think I saw Ola Englund do a review of one of those and he showed it...

Re: Is making an EP a realistic goal
Wondering how folks here have been managing their creativity in the face of covid as well as in general. Since before Covid started, I've been buying about 1 pedal a month from the Guitar Center website to build up a collection of essential pedals. At Christmas time, I finally got a mic boom and a ...

Re: Guitar Center - circling the drain?
Seems like you posted this thread twice? Possibly. Sometimes the boards run very slow for me, especially when I try to "preview" a post before submitting. Perhaps I hit the submit link more than once and it posted it twice or something, I dunno. ------------- Went to a couple of music shops yesterd...

Guitar Center - circling the drain?
Saw this a while back on Youtube... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9fbTqM0nMx8 I have... mixed feelings... about the possibility of Guitar Center going under. On one hand, I do most of my guitar gear shopping there. I like having the ability to see used pedals and gear from ALL OVER THE COUNTRY all...

Ha! You were making changes as I was reading apparently. I thought I was going mental for a second there. First his post was there, then it was changed. I saw the casino link and was contemplating whether to reply seriously or report it as possible spam.

Re: LETS SEE SOME PEDALBOARDS!!!
I'm guessing I'm not the first to discover this ex post facto design limitation the hard way. I'm guessing I'm not the first to resent such a trifling incompatibility. I'm guessing I'm not the first to shrug my shoulders and cough up for a new pedalboard merely to get the additional clearance of a ...
