Re: Orange Amp choice for replace th30

I have the R15T and love it. The Natural channel loves the pedals I use through it. The lack of an EQ is fixed with a pedal.

Tuner cleaner (electronic part spray) sprayed into the pot with the knob removed and then turn the pot back and forth should sort that right out. Make sure that you get spray with lubricant.
Just wanted to emphasize that, a little.

Re: Brent Hinds Terror doesn’t like pedals

I have the Rocker 15 Terror and find it LOVES pedals, especially on the Natural channel. With the lack of eq on the amp, I make do with an Ibanez EQ pedal. All my modulation, delay and reverb pedals sound wonderful! You say it sounds distorted in the loop, I'm wondering if there's something wrong wi...

Re: Constant Hum from a Tube Amp

A bad power tube is the best likely outcome. Tube replacement is a cheap fix, and one you can do yourself. Plus, I personally would never have an amp without a backup tube set. You're gonna need them some day. Grab new tubes and pop them in there. The only ones that need to be 'matched' are the powe...

Re: Winter NAMM 2020

They have the new bass amp and bass pedal so far, but they've hinted at something else new this weekend... Cool dual channel stompbox/ 20w amp https://orangeamps.com/terror-stamp/ https://orangeamps.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/12/Terror-Stamp-1-705x705.png Looks like a Micro-Terror rehoused in a pe...

Re: Ade: what's your ultimate NOS tube setup for R30 and Terror amps?

In my Rocker 15 Terror, I'm using NOS Rogers-branded Philips i65 12AX7's. I really like how they compress with distortion and they sound lush and warm In the power-amp section, I use NOS Soviet 6P14P-EV tubes. These sound true and clear and can be driven hard. They also last a long time, spec'd for...

Re: Crush 120 direct recording

I agree with Les Paul Lover, do not run this amp without a speaker or loadbox. FWIW, I use a Two Notes Torpedo Captor for this exact use and it's a wonderful piece of kit. I don't even use a cab anymore at rehearsals and just get my sound through the Captor into a set of in-ear monitors. Sounds heav...

Re: Best Orange for good tone at low volumes?

I have a Rocker 15 Combo and agree it sounds pretty amazing at low volume. However I would say the dirty channel if it has enough gain definitely doesn't sound quite as good if the amp is set to 0.5W. As soon as you get to 1W it sounds amazing though. On 0.5W I might say the clean channel + a tube ...

Re: Best Orange for good tone at low volumes?

My Rocker 15 Terror has a 'Headroom/Bedroom' power scaling feature. Takes it from 15/7W down to 1/0.5W. I tried to A/B it with a Bad Cat Unleash attenuator and preferred the Bedroom setting, by far. For a silent stage setup, I use a Two Notes Torpedo loadbox/cab simulator/DI box. I used it today wi...

Re: Micro Dark FX Send/Return Question

If it worked, you know your track would be subject to the OD and effects you use to drive your sound?

I think it will sound like ass, but IMO, it won't hurt to try.
