Nice tone made me smile
Fired up the RV100 into the 212ppc. 57 start RI - vox wah, tc boost dist line driver, Mij ts9, catlinbread echrorec, clean channel at 11 o'clock. Beautiful clean and nasty tones with od pedals engaged. The tc pushes the TS9 to 11 when needed. The clean tones with the echorec rule. The rv100 seems to...

Re: Amps you wish you'd never bought ....
Sound City 120 half stack that I bought new in 1976. Brought it home, plugged it in, and it caught on fire (really) after 1 hour. Took it back and wound up with an ampeg v-2 nmv half stack and some change that I wish I still had..

Catalinbread Echorec
Got it for Christmas. Love the lush echo/modulation tones and the swell option. Strat with rv100 "very nice". Any guitar with super reverb works great. MIJ ts-9 in front is killer, but I have to back off of the level somewhat. Check the demo at proguitar.com

Re: Rockerverb 100 MKII - How to brighten slightly?
My RV100 with the ppc212cb cab sounds great with single coil guitars. Strats, Tele's and my ric 330. I use a clean boost for eq with my humbucker guitars to tame the darkness somewhat. I didn't have that problem with my old Marshall vintage av 4-12 cab. Also, the louder I play, the better it sounds....

Re: Soldering Push on Connectors
Ist thing that I did when I had my rv50c was to solder the speaker wires and route the reverb cables away from the speakers. Same with my ppc 212. Be careful not to unsolder the braided coil wires, and also not to drip solder on the speaker cones..

I love the Maxon Ts9 / Od808 and analog delay RI pedals. I also have fun with an old Boss mij ds1, Ibanez sd-9, and the newer 39.00 ds1 is cool also... Ck pawn shops for 80' mij pedals and rack units

Re: Orange amp has a very strong hum + picks radio - any idea?
I had the same problem in my previous home, but only at times. A Furman power conditioner took care of it. Also, I have some old pedals that don't play well with newer ones, and cause weird noises.. I agree that you should check the a/c outlet voltage with a multimeter. A power conditioner is great ...

Re: Rockerverb 100 - Gain Channel's Volume not working properly?
I run my RV100 into a ppc 212cb cab. The nasty channel has much more volume and presence than the clean does. That is, straight into the amp with only a gtr and a cord. I manipulate the 2 channels with effects, compressors, and clean boost's depending on whatever tone that I'm going for. I agree, fi...

Re: Tell me about the Fender Super Reverb SF
I have a 72 SF NMV Super reverb that I restored. It had 2 original speakers, and 2 rolas when I bought it, so I put in 4 reissue p10 alincos in it. The ri Jensens get a bad rap, but they sound great, esp. after they were broken in. I found this amp in the Fl. Keys in 1999, and got it for 175.00 beca...
