It's been a while. What's the verdict on the Dual Terror
So, I haven't been on here in ages. Anyways, other guitarist in my band is looking for a new amp and after checking out some sound clips and looking at his budget I've recommended the Dual Terror to him. To think at one point in my life I practically lived on this forum and now I really don't have m...

you should see the amount of merch sales bands around their size take in. It's ridiculous. And again, making as much money playing music as any of us would at our day job? I think I'd rather be making a living with music than a normal day job any day. I have seen the amount. Then it's split four, f...

I'd be surprised if they're really making that much more money (if even) than most of us make at our day jobs. But that's another discussion for another thread another day. Hey, if they are happy doing what they're doing, fair play. But the bottom line is that this video and song makes me LAUGH. Wh...

say what you want about attack attack, but they are out on the road touring all of the country playing music. I'm sure they're making pretty decent money for what they're doing as well. How many people on these forums can say that? So the scale that we weigh success by is Money.... OK. I really don...

reverb. On the high end price wise, dr. scientist. Lower price but still great, line 7 verbzilla. I've got the dr. scientist on my board, but have used and enjoyed the verbzilla quite extensively. Tremolo, go with either the cusack tremolo or the empress tremolo. Cusack is about to put out(or alread...

a little late to the party on this one, but I wouldn't really think the screwdriver and zendrive to be comparable. The zendrive is made to try and capture that whole dumble sort of sound. Smooth and cutting leads. The screwdriver is kind of like what would happen if you crossed an overdrive and fuz...

I picked up an older Marshall drivemaster for under $100 and it does a pretty convincing jcm800. The shredmaster has even more gain on tap but it has a significantly higher selling rate. BYOC makes a shredmaster clone for a bit less though. The shredmaster will also do that sound incredibly well, t...

Another thing to be taken into account was that this test was done with monster cables. Out of all the high end cables I've owned, monsters have to be the biggest waste of money. I didn't buy into the cable hype either until I tried out some decent cables for myself. Used to run my whole pedalboard ...

I've probably worn you guys out with this.. But a 1968 - through 1973-4 Silverface Super Reverb is the way to go. Just avoid the mid 70's ones with master volume. Gerald Weber has books, and DVD's with the "Black Face", and many other mods for these amps. PTP wired, tube rectifiers, killer reverb. ...
