Re: best way to boost (for solo) a AD30
I just got an MXR 10-band EQ that I ran through the front of the amp and there is a Volume slider and a Gain slider and increasing either of them on the clean channel did not add any clipping to the signal but added perceivable volume and the gain added volume and boldness. When adding gain from the...

Re: Rocker 30 gain/tube question
Made the tube swap last night. There's definitely a difference. I can see how someone could like the 12AT7 in there, but I prefer the grit/gain as intended with ECC83. I would also probably prefer EL34L as well. Now I just need to figure out if I prefer this or the AD30HTC. I bought a used Marshall...

Re: Dual Dark questions
I think it would be awesome if they brought back the Thunderverb or the OR100. Those two are so killer. I would love another chance to own one brand new with full warranty. Maybe they'll only have the Rockerverb as a 50W/100W format head for a while. I know people are mostly rockin' on 15W to 30W h...

Re: Dual Dark questions
I've seen a few YouTube demo's of this amp that made it sound really cool. I only played one once and it was through a PPC212 and I have to say that every way I tried to dial it in, it really lacked that chunky midrange crunch and teeth that it sounds like it has when watching the demos. It ended up...

Rockerverb MKIII 120V setting in US and power cable reads 125v
The cable my Rockerverb came with reads "10A 125 V~" and my amp voltage switch is set to 120V and the 120 box is checked with marker on the back as I'm using the amp in the US.
Is the difference of 5 a problem? Is this completely normal?

Re: When the tone hits you just right
played with the band tonight and it was one of those nights where you couldn’t believe the tone coming out the amp. I would swear it has never sounded that good before but I know I am wrong. If you ever hear of me trying to sell my Rockerverb, kick me in the nuts amd tell me how stupid I am. The he...

Re: Is there an Orange for 80's metal / classic rock
I would check out YouTube demos of the TH30. Seems to have a super wide gain range ending up in full on high gain saturation and filth which I would think you could EQ to an 80's style voice and the classic rock crunch would likely be extremely easy to dial in as it seems to be one of the most commo...

Re: HELP: Rockerverb 100 MKIII into (2) PPC412; best connection?
If you run only one of your cabs, it goes into the 1x16 jack. If you run both cabs they each go into an 8 ohm jack under the 2x16 label. Yep there's only one way to do it and it's the same as all the orange valve amps, you'll need 2 speaker cables and from each cab plug into each 1x8 /2x16 ohm outp...

HELP: Rockerverb 100 MKIII into (2) PPC412; best connection?
OK. I've got my RV100MKIII and the two cabinets are both Orange PPC412 (one angled, one straight) and I've read the manuals and everything but I don't like new generation way of labeling the speaker outputs (which is not reflected in any official documentation) on the back of the MKIII. It doesn't l...

Re: OR 15 cabinet suggestions
I just played an OR15 through 2014 PPC412 at a Sam Ash recently and holy hell... I can't believe how much ass that little head kicked through those 4 speakers. And even at really low volumes as well. But cranking the volume and the gain was awesome too.
