I think I'll pull the trigger on Rocker 30 head

I have a Tiny Terror and Rockerverb MK1 50w.

Somehow I was always curious about Rocker 30 and found it in a local second hand guitar store. It seems to be the great, raw, ultimate rock amp. Am I right?

Re: what is the highest gain Orange in production atm?

but noone knows which orange amp has the highest gain still available? i don't care about maxing gain out i just want to know which has the highest gain. i am still assuming the th30 or dark terror. the cr60 or cr120 has 4 gain stages as well correct? Maybe a noob question, but how do you measure "...

Re: what is the highest gain Orange in production atm?

TH30, Dark Terror and Rockerverb all have more than enough gain. 4 gain stages. Dunno, I never "seriously" max out my RV50. It's fun for leads or fooling around, but it's super compressed and looses dynamics. Same with all the amps I've tried. Is anyone here actually gigging a 4 gain stages amp wit...

Re: best way to boost (for solo) a AD30

I have a Tiny Terror, which has no fx loop too, and that's the way I deal with boosting. I set the amp to pretty saturated overdrive - 15w mode, master volume at noon, gain at 1:30 o'clock - that gives me a nice rhythm tone. Boss GE-7 kicks in for leads/solos - cut some bass, add mids, shape treble ...

Re: Chainsaw sound

AFAIR the "Chainsaw" is HM-2 and all knobs at max. Just put the clean channel at the edge of breakup and kick on HM-2.

Re: Orange amp pedalfriendly

Can't speak for Rockers, but TH30 likes pedal very much and it has probably the most transparent fx loop in all Orange line-up. No volume drop issues, high-end roll off or something.

Re: OR15 Better with Zero Pedals?

As said before - ground loop or other power supply issues. I have Rockerverb MK1 50w and it's dead silent with loop.

Re: Rockerverb 100 MKIII clean channel with OCD??

Good if it works for you. To be honest, with my Rockerverb MK1 50w on 6v6 I immediately stopped using any dirt pedals, because anything put up front kills Orange's unique character and tonality. Amp itself, Maybe a kind of clean boost like Spark Booster in front for little more sustain / saturation ...

Re: Tonight my AD30 HTC sounded....... Great!

OK recently I've been very lazy ..... The last few gigs I've done I've taken the Rocker 15 terror... Sounded good, used the effects loop, job done but for no particular reason as I bought it for a backup, apart from it was a lot lighter .. Yep definitely lazy, but tonight I took my Ad30htc No effec...

Re: New To Orange/Need Advice

Hello all, I just bought my first tube amp, it’s an Orange Tiny Terror paired with an Orange PPC212CB. I’m looking to find some settings that can provide me a modern pop punk tone (not like Blink-182/Green Day) but more like bands; such as, Knuckle Puck and Neck Deep. As far as guitar goes, I have ...

Re: What is your first weapon of choice with Orange Amps?

At this point in time, one of my Fender Joe Strummer Tribute Telecasters is my main guitar, followed by my Duesenbergs, then my Gibson Johnny A., etc. I pull out a Dan Armstrong, Les Paul, and SG from time to time. But I could do the whole night with one of the Strummer Teles.... http://www.thealle...

What is your first weapon of choice with Orange Amps?

I've never really discused that topic here, but I'm really curious what is your fav guitar to plug into Orange Amps? I love my 92' Mexican Strat with Hot Rails set into Orange Rockerverb MK1 - on dirty channel it just sounds so damn heavy and punchy, sits really great in the mix plus retains great n...

Re: NPD: Late 70s MXR M117 Flanger

Promised update! Internal transformer and AC cord have been removed. My tech also installed a voltage protection diode, because the original M117 did not have that. Now pedal accepts everything between 15-18v just like reissue. All other components were checked and measured and they are in wery good...
