Re: New TH30 question
I wouldn’t worry too much if the amp is working fine. Who knows where the tubes were before you had the amp. You could swap positions. Whats more important is that you don’t see red plating or arcing in the tube. Hi, Thanks I just received a little bit earlier new power tubes and preamp tubes. I fi...

Re: New TH30 question
Pic upload has never worked! That's pretty wild... looks like it changed color from heat - makes me want to go check mine! Haha, yeah after trying on three devices to upload I just gave up lol. Yeah I’m just not sure if this is normal or does happen sometimes. Never seen this before. I’ve found a c...

New TH30 question
Hi everyone, it’s been awhile since I’ve been on here :) Recently I finally picked up a Orange TH30 and I say finally as I’ve been wanting one for a long while lol. So I found a 2019 used in mint condition with factory inspection tags still attached lol. It looks brand new from factory, no scratches...

Re: Rockerverb 100 MKiii cleans
With my MK1 I was running around 2 oclock on the clean side and it was still crystal. I never went any louder as that was already painful with earplugs in. Awesome answer. If they are supposed to have made the MKiii clean channel more clean as they say then I should be good. Btw have you tried diff...

Rockerverb 100 MKiii cleans
Got the funds and ready to purchase but question on the clean.
How clean does the Rockerverb 100 MKiii stay clean before it starts to breakup? Halfway turned up? Quarter ways up or what? I’m not looking for early breakup

Re: Crush Pro 120 Head buzz
Awesome, I'll look into that, really. Thanks. There are some great budget pedals about at the moment in my opinion and most of the Donner stuff seems to get good reviews. I'd like an NS-2 but March is going to be a month of austerity I think! Just managed to get a video of my amp https://drive.goog...

Re: Crush Pro 120 Head buzz
I'm pretty happy with the Noise Killer. It's definitely not as supple as the NS-2: its single knob has a lot of looseness and play, with anything before noon being fairly imperceptible and anything above noon clamping down harder and harder with each millimeter you turn it; that its action isn't pa...

Re: Crush Pro 120 Head buzz
Thanks for the replies guy. Much much much appreciated. Managed to get hold of a 2x12 cab... Firstly, pwrknwldg ... I read what you put at work and decided to grab one of those Behringer MicroHDs on the way home. Plugged it in, and if anything, it made the buzzing worse :/ I put it through input 1 ...

Re: Rockerverb biasing MKii vs MKiii
The switch was removed as it wasn't working as intended. For non EL34 valves, it could actually make it impossible to find the correct bias range. Yeah I could see that too. It was just a simple two way switch that designated several tube choices into two positions. Might as well do it old school w...

Re: Rockerverb biasing MKii vs MKiii
Some people can't resist flipping any switch they see. "Hmmmm, what's this do?" And people in guitar stores often flip switches just for the hell of it. So that's probably why they moved the switch. ------------------- It would still need to be biased when changing tubes. The switch changes other t...

Rockerverb biasing MKii vs MKiii
As I’m looking into purchasing here nearly soon the Rockerverb 100 MKiii I watched a video with Ade and he mentions of course you can run whichever choice of tubes you’d like whether that be KT88, 6L6, EL84 or a mix of tubes and so on. But what I’m wondering is why Orange removed the external bias s...

Re: Crush Pro 120 Head buzz
I have buzzing and crackle on both clean and dirty channels. For the longest time I thought it was speaker issues with the matching cab. It turned out to be I was clipping the input on the amp and honestly it sucks to say but this is apparently - it is what it is scenarios. I honestly think that mos...
