Re: Treble Boosters
I have both of those pedals, and both have been fantastic with my OR15, OR50, OR100, and RV100. I use the Beano Boost most often, but will not part with either of them. Don't spare the amp dirt when using these.. :D Edit: The opening riff here is the Naga Viper into my OR100. The solo adds a Dunlop ...

Re: Looking to upgrade our earplugs. Any recommendations?
Update: I'm back to the Etymotic. The Westone sound good, but the "large" size is just too frickin' small... More than once I've had a hell of a time fishing them out, even needing my band mate with smaller fingers to do so!

Awesome! The only other time I've seen one of those is a youtube review by this highly entertaining fellow:

Re: Looking to upgrade our earplugs. Any recommendations?
Well, I used em in Sunday night's rehearsal, which was at our typical Spinal Tap volume.. They're good. Definitely more clear than the Etymotic -- whether they're worth double the price (for as often as earplugs get lost), I haven't decided yet. I felt like they didn't knock the dB down quite ...

Re: Looking to upgrade our earplugs. Any recommendations?
I've been using various Etymotic brand plugs for years, and have been happy with them. Between loud amps and gunfire, my ears are already quite screwed with tinnitus, but I'm trying to keep them from getting even worse.. I just ordered a pair of Westone TRU Universal WM16 to try out, after th...

Re: Will Thunderverb 50 fit in Dual Dark Head Shell?
I saw those dual dark headshells on Reverb...was thinking of grabbing one to use with one of my OR100s. Hmm.....

Re: I Think I Just Opened the Gateway to Hell!!!
I want to hear it too! I was just summoning unholy noises from my OR50 in the rehearsal room the other night, but scooping the mids would not have occurred to me. :D Here's an OR50 / OR100 fuzz trick I stumbled on with the MXR Micro-Amp +: with the amp gain at 2:00 or so...dime the pedal gain, bass ...

Re: PPC212V anyone done a shootout?
In the pics on Sweetwater's site, the back plate says "designed and made in England". Dunno if they have started US production on this cab, but in any event I own both US and English Orange cabs, and can't hear or feel a difference.

Did you catch this video? I liked the mid-rangey character of the 212V here:

Re: Backstage with not yet released Orange amp....
I roll about in filth, having no need of a clean channel, but I second the call for a 50-watt lunchbox! That would be a very useful gigging amp for me.

Re: My Dual Dark is dead. Help needed...
Yes, that sounds right. When I bought a Euro spec TV200 from Thomann, all I had to do to get it running on this end was change the mains fuse and throw the voltage switch -- and the fuse was included in the box.

Re: STRINGS! what do you use?
For the last few years it's been D'Addario 11-52 (medium top/heavy bottom) on all my guitars, from E-standard to C-standard tuning. I've been happy with them so far.

Daisy-chaining and ohms
I haven't quite wrapped my head around daisy-chaining and the resulting ohm load. More specifically: is there a way to run three PPC412s from a single OR100 head by daisy-chaining two of the cabs...? I have always run either one cab from the 16- or two cabs from the 8-ohm outputs, as per instruction...
