Re: TH30 vs Rocker32
Hi guys, I've been a lurker for a while and I'm saving for my first Orange it'll be my first amp since my old Valvestate 100 went bye bye years ago (I moved over to acoustic the last few years). I have seen the TH30 and the Rocker32 at roughly the same price (the TH30 being slightly cheaper). I'm a...

Re: TH30 vs Rocker32
My only dislike with the R32 is that you're locked in the 2 10" speakers format. I prefer 12" speakers. The R15 terror and OBC212 would be my choice (new). As Ronnie suggested, the AD30tc is a blues/rock/indy/hard rock beast.... but expensive unless you go 2nd and factor in new EL84 valves. Do go a...

Re: Cover for Rocker 15 Head
I'm pretty sure there are no covers for the heads, only gig bags. However, you can get generic covers or covers for other amps. Your other option is having the cover for the combo and hem it

Re: Orange Crush 12 Just Hums
I can't recall if the warranty on these are a year or more. If you're out of warranty, flip the board and look for cold solder joints. You can get a cheap multimeter at harbor freight or eBay. Check your speaker output and check your caps and resistors. Also look for pile of poop stains on or near a...

Re: A Brighter Dark Terror?
I'm going to also say ear fatigue. The whole swapping valves thing is such a unicorn so many times. My Marshall amp is very sharp and glassy to me, but that tames after playing a bit. I don't have that same issue with my Oranges, egnater and blackstar amps don't have the same issue for me because of...

Re: Crush 12 Amp Settings
There's a few guys on YouTube who have videos out on how to set tour amp. Just type in how to set my guitar amp or how to dial in(I hate that phrase) my guitar amp and you'll find a few useful videos.

Re: What Tubes came stock in the Rocker 30?
All my Orange amps either came with JJs or Rubys and my understanding is Ruby are just rebranded JJ valves.

Re: NAD/Review: Brent Hinds Terror!
I have one too, bought it as soon as it was available right after they announced it at the NAMM in Feb this year, at first I was not completely sure about it and decided to exchange it only after 3 days for the Rocker 15. But then around early summer I found myself wanting it again, guess I was loo...

Re: NAD/Review: Brent Hinds Terror!
I liked the Hinds quite a bit and I'll probably grab one eventually. The rocker 32 just made more sense to me at the time and has some awesome versatility, but the Hinds surely has more tonal variation. Neither is superior to the other, just different. I'm also looking at the rockerverb next as well...

Re: Boost a dirty channel: "Proper" clean boost or OD
I use my OCD, 808, blues driver, compressor and a few other pedals exclusively as a boost. Keep the gain shut down or nearly shut down and you get wonderful results. I have the soul preacher compressor and it also works great in that capacity. Got it used on reverb for lime 40 dollars, too.

Re: Telecaster vs Orange RV - looking for pickup recommendation
BTW, I play a lot of classic rock, 80s metal and stoner/doom. My favorite sounds come from my bucking bull and raw set from Dominger.

Re: Telecaster vs Orange RV - looking for pickup recommendation
Look at Dominger custom pickups. Joce will make you a fine set, just tell him what you require. They have several lines of pickups already and I have used three different humbucker sets, two strat sets and jazz bass. They make wonderful gear and you're feeding a family, not some corporation. If you'...
