Re: How to clean Orange tolex

Similar to the practice of medicine, you most importantly want to do no further damage with whatever you do. I personally would NOT use a heat gun anywhere near the tolex, and you're liable to melt a nice big hole or have a big warp section of plastic that'll look 100 time worse than what you have n...

Re: How to clean Orange tolex

For cleaning plastic parts on a car, I was told to use smooth peanut butter, just a little dab on a rag or paper towel, does the trick of restoring the plastic back to the original finish. I didn't believe it and thought it was a joke, but I tried it and man what a difference, it worked great !! You...

Re: Micro Dark on a 2x12 cab

Your question is subjective and is a matter of opinion. I have a Micro Dark paired up with a 1-12 cabinet. It's plenty loud enough for me. If you want it so loud your ears bleed well you might want something with more than 20 watts. 20w is enough, but people are telling me an hybrid won't be as lou...

Re: Cabinet for Dark Terror.

I have no experience with the V30 speaker so I can't say yay or nay. My experience is with the G12T-75. I like that one because it's rated at 75 watts, which means I don't have to worry about frying it with my 20 watt Micro Dark amp. Somebody said it's a good idea to have the wattage rating of your ...

Re: Cabinet for Dark Terror.

I have a Micro Dark Terror amp. I'm using a Marshall MHZ112A 1-12" cabinet loaded with a G12T-75 Celestion speaker. Sounds great, even at very low volume levels. I just recently got this setup and am very happy with it.

Re: Micro Dark's effect loop..WOW !!

I just not enjoying it, I'm loving it !! The Micro Dark with the G12T-75 Celestion speaker in the Marshall cabinet has taken over my home studio. I'm getting so many great tones, at all volume levels. Great distortions, great cleans...sounds great at very low volume too !! This set up is just workin...

Re: Micro Dark's effect loop..WOW !!

I've tried using effects loops on other amps and never noticed much of a difference. This amp is a different story. It sounds great...I tried running my acoustic guitar into and got a very nice clean tone. The effects on the acoustic sound great !!

Micro Dark's effect loop..WOW !!

So I've got this really nice pedal effects board put together with lots of effects. I tried plugging my guitar into them and chained it into the Micro Dark. It sounded okay but not great, something was distorting my signal and I couldn't get a good clean tone unless I plugged the guitar directly int...

Re: Recommend me a clip on tuner please!

I use a Fender California tuner, which works pretty good most of the time. I have two of them, I replaced the battery in one of them and that one works better, especially on the low E string. I've been using them for about a year now, my Martin D-35 guitar sounds great after using it, I play out at ...

Re: Problem with a PPC108 speaker cabinet...

I bought the MHZ 112A Marshall cabinet with a G12T-75 speaker upgrade. It's a used cabinet with a newer speaker in mint condition. The G12T-75 speaker alone costs about $92 dollars new at Musician's Friend. I got the whole thing for $165 plus $35 bucks shipping, for a total of $200. The Orange PPC11...

Re: Problem with a PPC108 speaker cabinet...

I was quite surprised, he took it back and refunded the money with no problem at all. This was the first thing I bought off ebay that I've had a problem with...and I buy a lot. The new Marshall MHZ 112A cabinet sounds fantastic. It's in mint condition and I checked the speaker and just as the seller...
