Re: Need to sell my inherited Orange Stuff
:P hahaha okok... Strangely, I can't see the pics on my laptop, but here on the phone it works. I meant, maybe also put more "specific" sections here (I.e. New vs. Vintage), but no prob. Back on subject: Strange to see the cabs are 200w, so they might really be PA cabs instead of for guitar? There's...

Re: NAD: something VERY rare and special and FUNKY! (JB)
Great score! I have the head - been looking for the cab. Basically, the cab is just an Orange cab covered in denim. :mrgreen: Let me know what it's loaded with! The logo for that should probably be a leather patch with the logo inked on - you could probably make one I'd bet. Yes the cab has 4x Cele...

GRO100 = early OR120?
hey folks... i looked for this everywhere but didn't find a clear response. i've seen quite a few GRO100 amps for sale with the pics and text faceplate, they look exactly like the OR120 from the same years. was there an actual difference? wattage? circuit? the GRO's were Matamp-built or something? e...

Re: Attenuator for indoor use of an old OR120
There's just nothing you can do to that amp to make it into a bedroom amp. It's built to play stadiums. :lol: Even with the best attenuators, the more attenuation you use, the worse it sounds. To bog an OR-120 down to home practice levels, it's going to sound terrible. It's not worth the money, IMO...

Re: very low volume - then, no sound
yep, i know/knew that, but i just wanted to make sure i hadn't not thought of something. it's a 1976 OR120 (non-MV), all original. i could buy it for 700 euro as-is, but i'm worried it might end up being a lemon. i only just arrived in europe and have no idea which amp doc and how much they'd charge...

very low volume - then, no sound
hey there! no it's not my amp. but a guy i know here has this old Orange he says has kinda died. it had been stored away for ages by his dad. then, well, he wanted to use it. (yeah i know... filter caps) he said there was a lot of hiss, and the amp was very very quiet. he turned the volume up and up...

Re: Attenuator for indoor use of an old OR120
Thanks guys!
I'll let you know how it goes as soon as i have it here!
I have quite a collection (hoarding) of cool old pedals, so it'll be fun to find out how it reacts to which.
My main amp has now for years been my '68 Twin Reverb. So, now for something completely different!
