True - the EQ will have an impact on the overall grit of your tone. As for volume? I've never had any issues with that and I've worked with some very loud drummers.

I saw them in Toronto at the Phoenix when they toured in support of Vivid. Amazing band to catch live.

This is a 2x12 I built as a first-time project. I used MDF to keep the cost down but I love the tone! Eminence speakers, 4 ohms, 1200 watts and twin ported. I made the badge using a sticker I bought off eBay and placed on a piece of foam core. http://i150.photobucket.com/albums/s109/paul_and_julie/B...

Re: eight sticks of butter

To be honest, unless you are REALLY lazy and only eat premade or fast food, eating healthily takles no longer than cooking unhealthy stuff. When people say it takes too long, they're comparing the time of waiting in a queue at McDonald's or ordering takeaway on the phone to the 15-20 minutes it'd t...

Re: Saying goodbye to the summer... with a chicken on a throne

I tried using the Bud Light Lime in a can. Worked really well - except for having to drink the first half... BLECH! I stuffed half a lime in the neck and used lemon pepper rub. Turned out very well with a nice beer/lime flavour.

Maybe you could offer custom art work for each customer by having them supply a head shot and you put their face on the pedal! 8)

Re: Anyone ever loaded bass speakers in a PPC412? ;-)

I did this for a time. I had a Marshall 1960A cab and put Eminence 12s in it plus I lined it with egg foam. It did have that Lemmy sound for sure! Of course, I was using a Marshall 50 watt plexi re-issue with it for that total mid-range sound. Fun for a while but not enough thump for my taste. I wou...

Re: Pedal Art for a new pedal...

Very cool!! Maybe the next one could be the HAL 9000 - when selected, it emits a voice recording saying, "I can't do that, Dave."

Re: Yay NAD :)

Congrats on the new Orange! I noticed that you have some of those black marks on your cab. Something I've discovered is Rubbermaid kitchen drawer liner. You can get it in many different colours, maybe even orange, and cut it to the size of the footprint of your amp. This keeps the amp "stuck" in one...

Re: AD200B or Thunderverb 200

Welcome to the forum! Now that that's out of the way... your best bet is to try them both if you have the opportunity. They will sound different - no doubt about it. Are you going to continue to use the Ampeg 8x10 cab? I've used my AD200B with my old Ampeg cab and it was quite thunderous but I still...
