Re: New Cab Day

Haha! The cab's wheels are a life saver. Would never even consider getting a PPC412 - a behemoth without wheels.

I bought it used - the speakers must be replacements because the little gold plaque doesn't look like the 1960AV's. Either way, it sounds fantastic. Gonna let it really breathe at an outdoor gig th...

Re: Anyone Here Using A Strat & Orange Amp?

I'm using a strat with a CR120 head. It gets great tones, but you need some booster pedal to really get there. I have yet to try a tele with it, but I strongly prefer the strat to the Les Paul.

Re: CR120H + PPC112?

Hey man, I've been running a ppc112 with cr120 for almost two years now. Have I had an accident? No, I'm super wary of amp volume. Do I wish I just forked out the cash for a bigger cab? Yes, absolutely. Every loud gig is a bit stressful. We do light rock, jazz, and blues... so a 112 is still practic...

Jimi Hendrix Band of Gypsys Fuzz Face

So I finally bought this pedal. It's incredibly versatile and sounds absolutely incredible, but I noticed something kind of amusing... When you play it through the clean channel on a cr120 head, right before a tube screamer for breakup, it sounds exactly like the Orange drive channel. Very, very sim...

Big Muff with Orange CR120h

Anyone have experience using a Big Muff with Orange amps? If so, can you give me some advice on getting a good soloing tone? I'm using a Crush 120 head.

Re: Xotic BB vs Fulltone OCD as gain boost into dirty channe

I use the OCD to boost the dirty channel. I set the gain at 12:00 and I use the HP setting with the drive all the way down and the volume up for a boost. Pushes the front end of the amp and gets a beautiful tone for leads and dirtier songs. It tightens up the fuzzier orange gain and sounds so good w...

I use an OCD with my Orange cr120. It's a sweet pedal especially at 18 volts, highly recommend.

Who has this amp? Opinions? Reviews? I was psyched to see its nominations in the recent article from Orange. I'm gonna have some funds soon and so I'm deciding on my next amp....

I'm so glad someone else enjoys Dave's videos as much as I do. His videos introduced me to Orange. A great player with an even greater personality.

Re: Homemade Pedal Board

Cool, looks great! I suggest adding a couple of handles from a hardware store. Makes it all a bit easier to grab on to. Here's mine for example: https://c2.staticflickr.com/6/5298/30059804896_089768dcef_c_d.jpg https://c1.staticflickr.com/9/8542/29799494380_1aecfddb3d_c_d.jpg That looks really nice.
