The TC Electronic polytune clip on is pretty sweet. I've had mine for nearly a year now, and it still on the original battery.
The display is awesome, never have a problem seeing it. And the polytune functionality gives a quick way to identify exactly which string or strings are out of tune.

Re: Cover for Rocker 30 combo?..
So yeah... the cover I mentioned fits fine. It is thicker than a dust cover, but not padded... and while the opening for the handle doesn't line up perfectly, it isn't terribly inconvenient either. You can def grab the handle without digging under the cover for it. http://photos.kodanja.net/img/s6/v...

Re: Cover for Rocker 30 combo?..
I'm pretty certain I have the one you mentioned, and as far as I can recall, it fit fine. I haven't used it an about a year, but as far as I remember, it fit fine.
This is the one I bought: http://www.amazon.com/Orange-CVR-112-1x ... B006SJY70Q

Re: New cab day
I think you'll be happy with 2 x 112 cabs. I had the CR60 combo for a few months, nice sounding amp for sure. I ended up moving when I picked up used Rocker 30 combo. Anyway, see below... I like having dual 112's. Gives me a lot of flexibility with the amps I have, just missing an external open back...

Hot Damn! There are some fine looking rigs in this thread. I've got to admit... I'm jealous.

Re: Rockerverb 50 (MKI) head standby switch
Yes! I experienced this same thing with my 50 MKI at one point. I was already planning on re-tubing it, so when the pop/static started happening I went ahead and replaced all the tubes. That fixed it for me. I would still occasionally get a pop when going from or to standby, and more often when I w...

Re: Rockerverb 50 (MKI) head standby switch
Bummer. Hopefully it something my amp guy can address. I've been looking for one of these for quite a while. Other than the occasional pop, everything else about it sounds great.
I was thinking of getting it retubed, just to be safe. Maybe I should get this checked out first, just to be safe.

Rockerverb 50 (MKI) head standby switch
Hi, I've been wondering if this is normal, or possibly an issue. I have a "new to me" Rockerverb 50 (MKI) head, that I picked up a bit over a week ago. The thing I've noticed, unlike my rocker 30, is that sometimes when I come out of standby from On, I get a good speaker pop, and some scratchy / sta...

Re: PPC-212C modifications
Thanks, that part sounds pretty reasonable. What would you recommend for the jack plate, is that something that can just be purchased and dropped in?
I was just reading some tutorials on how to apply tolex... that looks like it would be a whole other ball o'wax.

Re: Boost or drive?
I'm certainly no expert. I have a Rocker 30 combo, and a Rockerverb 50 head (MKI). I find that my Fulltone OCD works great with both, on either clean or dirt channels. I also have a Keeley Katana Blues Driver which I find works really well with both. On the flip side, I have a Keeley modified tubesc...

If I felt like I was more inclined for woodworking, I would probably try. I don't have a hookup, so maybe I need to learn some basic skills.

Re: PPC-212C modifications
In my mind, I'm picturing a like a convertible back plate, with either a door on a hinge of sorts, or an insert that you could toggle in or out, depending on the situation.
If I were to have a new back plate fabricated I guess I would need to get another input panel.
