Re: Orange crush 12 with Pedals

Oh no problemo bro! Just remembered this video: https://youtu.be/ZkGCvLstPrE A must for every beginner, focus on your guitars controlls and playing technique before even thinking about pedals. I really enjoy setting the amp dirty and then clean up the sound using just the volume knob on my guitar wh...

Re: Orange crush 12 with Pedals

I meant clean as a setting, the crush is a single channel amp. All on twelve o clock won't work, that could be a starting point for te eq settings but has no effect on the amount of dirt (overdrive/distortion) coming out of the amp. By clean I mean undistorted sound. Turn the volume to max, keeping ...

Re: Orange crush 12 with Pedals

The amp has a very good eq, and takes pedals good, even my cathedral reverb worked quite well, as long I kept the dirt down. The problem of that amp is it's size and the speaker. I opened the back wich helped a bit but don't expect too much. On a clean setting with a dirt pedal and a reverb or delay...

Re: Tiny Terror vs Rocker 15

I would keep the TTHW. Some time ago I wanted one of those but had no luck. Just yesterday I played around with my Bax Bangeetar or Walrus Janus Trem+Fuzz into my Ehx Cathedral Reverb and that into my Micro Terror.... That sounded surprisingly well with my Tele. Tonns of fun, can't imagine how cool ...

Re: Orange Crush 12 No Sound at Home

Before troubleshooting, and it may sound silly but have you turned both volume and gain knobs on? I say it because if the gain is on zero, no matter how much volume you turn on there will be no sound coming out of it. I say this because a friend of mine had the same problem once he wanted to use min...

Re: TH30 vs Rocker32

I can't compare it to the R32, but a friend of mine has the R15, if the natural on them is similar, the TH30 would win this battle. He uses the dirty channel for cleans, so he can use the EQ, and I must say it works pretty well that way. On the TH30 it's almost Fender clean with the right settings, ...

Re: TH30 vs Rocker32

Mostly I do Creedence, Allman Bros, ZZ-Top, stuff like that. My TH30 likes it, me too. Of course it can do metal, but it's not a must, just keep the gain down, or crank the Clean channel for more classic gain tones. I also have to say that I don't play with particularly hot pickups, alnico 2 paf sty...

Re: What is your first weapon of choice with Orange Amps?

Les Paul and Tele. Both sound mean with Orange.
Recorded a bit of noodlin' to show a friend that Teles don't sound thin.
I'm not the best player but what the heck, that wasn't the point.

Re: Segeborn's preamp tube comparison.

The Tung Sol and Audio Classic stood out the most to my ears. And the EHX in the video seems funny to me, bought once one to try it just for fun in my Micro Terror and to me it seemed to overdrive earlier than tha stock JJ and to be overall more aggressive. I definitely gonna try Tung Sol's when I r...

Re: TH30 or not...

Shouldn't the TH30 sound a little bit bigger or more present trough a 4x12 than the Rocker15 just because of the bigger transformers? I don't know... Anyway maybe you'll only need the clean channel anyway, sweet and chimey cleans and it has a very nice overdrive past noon. To me the Dirty Channel do...
