Re: Clutch!

I know he uses a POG on some of his lead stuff. The POG is a great pedal!!

He uses the POG on the lead lick here. Sounds a bit like a harmonizer.

Re: Lead Tone Dual Dark HELP NEEDED

Try NOT scooping the mids. I have a Rockerverb 100 MKIII and I use tons of gain and keep the mid at about 1-2 o'clock. Guitars live in the midrange and scooping the mids kills the frequencies that are supposed to be heard with guitars!

Re: Still recovering from the US election results ?

Here is my post from Facebook yesterday. THANK GOD that Killery didn't get elected!!! I am so glad that Trump got elected. It is a real repudiation against all of the B.S. political correctness, immoral behavior, social justice movement and anything else requiring a "Trigger warning" or "Safe Space"...

EL34's in my Mesa Roadster

I changed my power tubes from 6L6's to EL34's tonight and HOLY COW what a difference! Sound unbelievable. Nice midrange boost. Can't believe how much more open the amp sounds now. May give my Rockerverb 100 MKIII a run for it's money!

Re: NAD today Jim Root #4 Terror

I've had one for a while and love it. It is my at home practice rig. They say it sounds like a Rockerverb. I have a new MK iii 100 watt head also. The #4 sounds great but the RV MKIII kills it!!

Re: MKIII on the way!

I don't see the notches as a big deal at all. Never had an issue with trying to dial in the amount of anything I want! They are a total non-issue with me, I actually like them. In low light it makes it super-easy to feel exactly how much you are moving.

Re: OFFICIAL DREAM RIG THREAD

Hate to sound like I am bragging but between my son and I (He is 15, we live in the same house) we have all of our dream gear. We have 4 Jim Root Squier Telecaster loaded with EMG's and locking tuners, a Partscaster with EMG's and various other guitars - Kramer, Schecter, LTD etc. My son has a Mesa ...

Re: Micro Dark

I was at Sweetwater Sound's Gearfest back in the summer and I was going to buy a Micro Terror. The guy that was repping Orange asked what kind of music I played and I responded "mostly metal". He suggested that I should wait and that Orange was coming out with something I would like better. He would...

Re: 4x12 Cabinet choices

CAR-15, Well, I've had a chance to do more experimenting with the Crush Pro cab with the VOTW speakers, and here's the conclusion I've come to: The cab does sound pretty decent at loud volumes, but at low volume, the verdict is out. These speakers have lots of bass and highs and is sort of fizzy. T...
