Re: Orange crush 12 with Pedals
That's a slightly odd question. I don't own a Crush 12 but like any guitar amp, you will be able to run pedals into the front of it. How successful it would be will depend entirely on what you are trying to achieve.
Be assured that pedals designed for use with guitar will not harm your amp.

Re: Swap 12AT7 for 5751
You'd need to try it to see if you like it but it should work ok and won't damage your amp.

Re: Multi-Micro Setup
Are you talking about using an A/B pedal with the speaker cables? That actually does work, but it's not a good idea since it leaves one of the amps unloaded which is bad (potentially catastrophic) for the transformer. To do it safely you need to use something like the Radial VT Tube Head Switcher t...

Re: Multi-Micro Setup
I might be over thinking it but are we really sure that the proposal would damage the amps? With an A/B switcher (NOT A/B/Y) only one amp would be sending signal at a time. The other amp would clearly "see" the signal at its own speaker cable but would that cause damage? Surely the voltage and curre...

Re: OR15 Better with Zero Pedals?
OR15 user here. I have a small increase in noise if I use the effects loop. It's very slight and isn't a problem at more than home use volume. I found I preferred the sound of all pedals into the front of the amp. Clearly, i don't use a lot of delay with high gain :D I think the issue it that the vo...

Re: Is my cab broken?
I too would say problem with the jack.
Just to add - Don't use it as it's likely to be a disconnected wire leading to an open circuit. This could be harmful to your amp.

Re: Slaving a combo amp to a MT or MD
I'm not 100% clear on what you are planning to do. In the old days, to slave and amp, you took a slave out signal from one amp and put it into a dedicated slave amp. A slave amp was basically a power amp usually with volume control and sometimes with tone shaping too. Now, I think slaving is mostly ...

Re: Overdrive pedal with OR15
I don't have an OCD pedal but I have several ODs and don't think I have experienced your problem. See your other post about possible valve problems.
Can you let us know what gear you are using and how you have the amp set?

Re: OR15 same volume at 7 and 15 watts
There really isn't much of a volume change unless you have it quite clean and at high volume. There is much more of a difference in headroom and in how it feels to play. As per the previous response though, it does seem likely that there may be a valve problem so it might be best to try new valves b...

Re: Different Technique With Orange Amps?
I probably should have written my original question with respect to: Do you play your Orange amp any differently that say, a Marshall, VOX, Bugera, Engl, amps with similar circuits. In my case, Orange and the Dark Terror were quite a culture change for me. I was coming from the Fender, Peavey terri...

Re: Different Technique With Orange Amps?
I might be misunderstanding the OP’s concerns but the thread seems to be focusing on musical matters not really related to Orange. 1. You do need to play guitar differently with high gain to how you can play with lower gain. 2. Most recognised techniques for high gain involve a lot of palm muting (o...

Re: Orange 35RT
Intermittent faults are the worst kind! Static is frequently caused by poor grounding in the guitar or cable. You say you have tried different chords. Well done. Please take a look at the cable to make sure there are no extreme bends or twists. Please also make sure that the jack plugs are properly ...

Re: or 15 head to cabs
You shouldn't do it. One 16 Ohm cab/speaker to the 16 Ohm output. One 8 Ohm cab /speaker to one of the 8 Ohm outputs. Two 16 Ohm cab / speakers to both of the 8 Ohm outputs. Now many other amp manufacturers seem quite happy for folk to miss match. Orange don't. I've not tried it. You may choose o tr...
