Re: ALL GOOD THINGS....

Thanks for all your hard work Billy and to everybody else for their contributions. I have gained a huge amount of knowledge from the site and although I haven't contributed much, I had more to say/ask. Such a shame. All the best to everyone. Phil

Re: PPC112 and CR120

As this fairly old thread has been resurrected, I thought I would add that while I use 2 PPC112's with my CR120, I did ask Orange ages ago about using one 16ohm cab and they said that the CR120 puts out about 90 watts. So be careful. I have used it with one, very judiciously, but not to be recommend...

No, I meant something wrong with memoryloss TH30. I am saying that mine is loud and not muddy (as per MemoryLoss oginal post).
Aaargh! Light dawns over Marblehead! That's not the one on the coast of Massachusetts USA, either.

Re: Convince me to keep my TH30

Hi, I just thought I would add my pennyworth. I have the TH30 combo (for nearly 3 years now) and recently performed a back to back with several amps including the Rockerverb 50 MK III Head. I have always found I can get a very articulate tone, not muddy, with all my guitars, with most amounts of gai...

Re: Rockerverb. My first time.

Rozz, are you trying to ask if we think you should get a Rockerverb? If so... HECK YES! :) Yep. I got talking to the guy with the Rockerverb and we are going to meet and compare that with my CR120 so it will be a good A/B for both of us. That’s happening Monday and we have booked a rehearsal ...

Rockerverb. My first time.

I went to an open session last night and I would normally have taken my Dual Terror and plugged into their cabs, but I had left it at a friend’s house, so I had to use what was there. And there it was; a Rockerverb 50H Mk III. Hmmmm, I have the CR120 and really like it a lot, but I have to say that ...

Re: HELP! Marked my Les Paul.

Thanks all for the replies and advice. I am going to leave it and try and ignore it. I don't plan on selling it and there are other battle scars on it anyway that don't bother me at all, so I suppose it's a bit irrational of me to stress over this. As afjungemann said, I will try and think of it as ...

HELP! Marked my Les Paul.

Hi all, I am sure you all know this can happen, but the cloth that I wrapped around the rubber support on one of my guitar stands had come off and my Traditional Les Paul which would have been on it for only about 3 days, now has a semi-circular black mark from the rubber. I’m normally so strict on ...

Re: NGD, but a problem

I just thought I would post an update. It’s all fixed, but there were other problems found and rectified by my Luthier/Tech. • Original problem: treble tone pot did not work at all. The surface mount capacitor circuit board trace was broken. Rectified by hardwiring a 0.22 Cap. Works fine now. • He a...

Re: NGD, but a problem

Thanks PBA, all good suggestions. When he is back, I will get him to just check everything over and I will probably put 010's etc on it. I have 011's at the moment on the other LP's and the Tribute has 009's and it has made me think 010's will be best for me. I will get him to have a look at the ele...

Thanks BIlly,
email sent to your email address on your website. CR120 and one of my PPC112's is at rehearsal space so couldn't include those.
Cheers

Re: NGD, but a problem

Thanks all, Yes I must get some pictures up, I did look at a few hosting sites a while ago but my security software didn't like them. But pictures of guitars and amps aren't particularly sensitive  What do people use here now that is free and secure? I'm not one to share lots of pictures. I'm n...

Re: NGD, but a problem

Thanks for the advice, I won't touch it myself but will get my tech to look at it when he gets back with a view to hardwire. I am going to send a message to Stew-Mac to see if they ship to UK/ wait time etc. and ask a few more questions, thanks for that Billy, that seems like a good idea. Ill check ...
