Re: Help me assemble a pedalboard for my TH30!!!
I did just this last year! It's hard to know what you like. I started with a maxon808 tho, there's an orange blog that was talking about this and a few different ODs. I personally love it and sent back the OCD -I tried it too) I just buy gear and try it out, I can always send it back if I don't like...

I can't agree with Jondog more. You can't know till you hear it... unfortunately.

Re: Orange tube shields?
yeah I could be totally wrong about that, I like to know for sure actually. I was just leery, maybe thermally it wasn't a good idea... don't want to screw anything up for the sake of aesthetics lol

Re: Orange tube shields?
I was just reading and googling here a few days ago and saw some orange bell covers, they looked very cool and I became instantly jealous. figured if I did it I'd do the shields too :) if I'm not playing I'm modding something... you know. thanks for the links! I'll figure something out and put some ...

Orange tube shields?
I noticed they make red ones... so I naturally looked for orange but could not find. doesn't seem like painting would be a good idea at all... they'd look pretty cool in my #4 (cause you can see thru the air vents), but I don't think I'd go so far as to have custom ones made lol ...well maybe >.>

Re: effects loop signal boosters
just following this up.... I got the EB techs and they're doing their job beautifully... I kinda hoped to have even hotter levels, but boost seems to have done the trick with my H9.

Re: Jim Root vs Dark Terror
I love the #4 over the Dark Terror... that part was an easy choice for me. I have a th30 too and run them in stereo, but during the time I was building my new board I found myself constantly plugging into the #4. (insert massive amounts of silly fangirl bs here) hmm, the EQ you already get that... I...

Re: Fender Rattle Can Stratosonic Junior?
Anyone recommend any swirl/scratch removing polish? late to this thread but I think I can... last year I sold a bass on ebay and polished it before selling it, so I decided to do all my guitars. this is the stuff I've used lots of different removers and compounds before, this stuff looks no differe...

Re: effects loop signal boosters
I wasn't sure about regular boost pedals since I'm not after a volume boost really, just a signal boost. The H9 runs in my effects loops, and its input levels are barely into the green at normal volume. I need to boost those levels without actually boosting my volume. The two boxes I mentioned have ...

effects loop signal boosters
anybody have any experience with these? I'm not volume boosting, I just need a stronger signal to drive my H9 properly... I can just turn the amps up LOL that works, but 90% of the time I'm playing at lower volumes. EBtech has a Line Level Shifter and Morely has an Effects Loop Corrector. Just curio...

Re: Shredders: Best Pick for Sweeping
remember the Stylus Pick? :P it was a good concept... I couldn't get used to them, but gave me the idea to file down a Big (3mm) Stubby into Jazz Stubby shape. that works really good for the frictionless thing 8) only problem then is losing the pick and wear/replacement (takes too much time filing)....
