Re: Fractal FX8: relays on OR100?
There is actually a risk to try it as the the FX8 manual clearly states that it could do damage to the amp and the fx8 if it is not "short to sleeve" type switching . But the real concern here is Orange customer service which has been non responsive to this thread, different email addresses, and voi...

Fractal FX8: relays on OR100?
I have an OR100 (love it) I recently bought a Fractal FX8 The fx8 has 2 relay ports to allow connection to an amp to make changes; on the OR I want to change the Gain boost and channel switch (if I can somehow access the global boost that would be cool too but it is a less pressing need) It says in ...

Re: Phaser help
The Earthquaker Devices Grand Orbiter is my personal favorite! Oh no, that's the last thing I needed to hear. I have the Afterneath and totally love it. I rocked the MXR EVH for years, sold it, but bought it again. I love the tone on that piece. I have a Hardwire that sounds decent and can be found...

Re: cabling strategy - OR100
I was always curious about that pedalsnake, seems like a great solution! In addition to the switchdoctor, I am going to send that cable along with 3 instrument cables (amp input and fx loop) through this sleeve: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B004SQYTG8?psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_detailpage_o...

Re: cabling strategy - OR100
I have both the Orange and the switchdoctor version. The Orange is built really well, but a total pain to wire up 3 cables. The switchdoctor is solid enough and works well....though I have heard the cosmetics fade/peel with time, and I could imagine that happening (unlike the orange). No matter, it ...

Re: High Gain Guitarists
I love me some high gain like 90% of the time, rockin' an OR100. I use Bare Knuckle modern pickups (Juggernaut, Blackhawk, Aftermath) and put an OD set to clean boost with a smidge of gain; that gets it that tight attack needed. I pump lots of mids on the amp- like 3 oclock, but then also have a gra...

Sounds sweet! I think about nabbing one of these to compliment my OR100 because they look like so much fun. The tone seems right there with what I love about the OR

Re: Anyone played a Malmsteen strat?
I had one for years and loved the tone. But it took a delicate touch and precise technique; I have King Kong slop chops so I was unable to really shred on it like I can on other guitars. It did have a magic quality to the notes that I loved, but flipped

nice score!
I got the Joyo Ultimate Drive a few weeks ago. Cool pedal, but not as clear/pleasant sounding as my other choices (Maxon, MXR)
I have the Joyo EQ coming in today

Re: Thoughts on the OR100
Great analysis! I seem to stay around 2 o'clock- I throw a clean boost OD for the high gain mayhem and can easily roll it back for some great lo/mid dirty tones Loud in at band practice I liek the OR gain boost, but at home I've been digging the Maxons 808x and TOD9. What's everybody else using for ...
