Also hell with eq on Natural Channel. It is fine without it,
I agree. I've tried a variety of tone-shaper/ EQ pedals on the Natural channel and find I prefer the sound of it, erm..... Natural. I think it's great as it is. Lovely amp.

Re: Rocker 30 speaker analysis paralysis

I run my Rocker 30 Head through an oversize 1x12 cab (MJW) fitted with an Eminence Wizard speaker. Sounds perfect to me and loud as...... When playing my guitars through the natural channel, I've tried a variety of EQ type pedals (including VFE Rocket, Voodoo Labs Giggity) to give me a bit of tone f...

Re: Thoughts on Orange clean tones

I really like the "natural" channel on my Rocker 30. I think it's voiced just right and I love the simplicity of a single volume control and no tone stack. It highlights the differences between guitars and pickups more than any other amp I've played. I did try running a VFE Rocket Boost EQ in front ...

Re: Am I making a mistake?

Whilst the Laney 12R is a good pedal platform, forget it if you need any clean sounds at gig volume - it won't keep up. I know 'cos I had one. I had the head version and ran it through a VERY efficient (ie. loud) Eminence Wizard loaded cab. Of course, if you intend to mic it up then yep, it'll work ...

Re: Smallest Available Expression Pedal?

I'd second the recommendation for the Hotone Soul Press. Wah, volume and expression all in one tiny enclosure.

Re: From Mesa Mark IV to ORANGE AMP :-)

Congrats on the new amp! I've done things the other way around. I have an Orange Rocker 30 but a few months ago, came across a deal for a used Mesa Express 5:25+. I'd been interested in the Mesa for a while and was drawn in by the huge amount of flexibility on offer - two channels, each with two voi...

BOSS LS-2 works great as a blender.
It also has a myriad of other uses too.

Re: Guess what followed me home today...... :D

I know I can get more headroom and volume out of the natural channel, but it does get complicated..... If i have to switch reverb, delays, fuzz, channel and boost it's a lot for me to juggle around. If i end up using the rocker live, I suspect it'll be as a single channel only using the dirty chann...

Re: Soon to arrive - R30H

Really sorry to hear this - hope that you get a positive result and your money back. I know its too late now but I think if you need to pay up front for something, a credit card or PayPal seems to offer a better level of protection and more often than not, if a deal sounds too good to be true, it pr...

Re: Soon to arrive - R30H

Congrats! I bloody love mine. I know everyone raves over the Dirty channel but I've really been enjoying the Natural channel lately. I messed around with running various EQ pedals in front of the Natural channel for a bit of tone shaping but whenever I switched the EQ pedal off, I just preferred the...

Re: Possible NAD - Orange Rocker 30

Great amp. I love the simplicity of it - doesn't get much simpler than a single volume knob on the Natural channel! To me, the natural channel is EQ'd just right and it really highlights differences between guitars and pickups. I've messed with eq pedals in front for the natural channel but prefer t...

Should arrive in a couple of days but may not have a chance to test it at volume for a little while. Will report back when I can as I think it could be a great solution.

Re: A solution for amps without effects loops? - EUREKA!

I know some stick delay or reverb into the front of a driven amp but I've never been able to get that to work. My criteria was: 1) I didn't want to be lugging extra amps and cabs around for a wet/dry setup. 2) I didn't want to mod my amp by fitting a loop. 3) I didn't want an attenuator with loop. F...

A solution for amps without effects loops? - EUREKA!

I have an Orange Rocker head which I really like BUT I'd like to run delay with the dirty channel wound up a bit. As you know, this often doesn't sound very good but after an age trying to find a solution, I think I've found one! Well 2 actually - the Eventide Mixing Link or the Pigtronix Keymaster....
