Re: OR15 hum/buzz
Can you please specify what's your SG model & what pickups it's got? I am curious, because I am half way on improving the Orange TT electronics (install the choke and maybe recap). I have a Gibson SG Standard 2009. Honestly, I don't know exactly wich pickup it has. I think 490T/498T. But maybe some...

Re: OR15 hum/buzz
Hello everyone, I have an update :) Today the shop called saying that my guitar was ready. For those who don't remeber, my SG made every amp in the shop buzz. The guitar technician said it was not good shielded, so he made a lead shield where the pickup are placed (I don't know the name in English :...

Re: OR15 hum/buzz
Yesterday I took the amp in the shop and we have done other test. -The amp is humming also when the guitar is unplugged, and when the guitar is plugged in, the hum increases. -Since I'm using a PPC112 the power cable is always near the speaker cable. -The speaker cable that I have is not a professio...

Re: OR15 hum/buzz
Thanks for you're reply, I've read you're response in the other thread. The technician replaced the 2 power tubes, and yes I've tried different power outlets in my house, and nothing changed. The amp is always plugged straight into the wall. Tomorrow I'm going where I bought the amp, so I can try if...

Re: OR15 - constant 50hz hum
So are you sure this is normal? Because I also have the hum in my OR15 (you can hear it here: http://forum.orangeamps.com/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=54413) and I'm not sure if it was there the day I bought it.

Re: OR15 hum/buzz
Yes, the amp was humming before the tubes were replaced. But when I went to the technician, he let me try the amp and the hum was "normal". At home is too much.
Maybe he was using an expensive speaker cable? But this is strange because when I bought the amp is wasn't hum like now.
Could be my guitar?

OR15 hum/buzz
Hello and happy new year! Unfortunately I'm having problems with my OR15 + PPC112. When I'm playing I'm getting a lot of hum/buzz. It has the tube replaced 2 days ago and when I went to the technician, he had my OR15 plugged in a 4x12 and it was buzzing a little. Now, I know that there's a bit of bu...

Songwriting on guitar - Tips and advice
Hi all, next week I'm going to write something with my band. We have different styles but we all like classic rock. I've never wrote songs, sometimes I came out with some riffs but nothing special. So my question is, have you some tips or advice? I mean advice in the whole process and the music theo...

Anyone has tried a JTM45 with an Orange cab?
Hello,
I have an OR15 with a PPC112. Now, I know that it's a bit strange say it here , but I'd like a Marshall JTM45. I know that Plexi + Celestion Greenback are almost a standard, but does it sounds good with a Vintage 30?
I don't want to buy another cab now.

Is true that the rocker 30 isn't so different, about gain and tone, from an OR15?

Re: Before Orange.
Before Orange I had only a Marshall MG100, probably one of the worst Marshall. Fortunately I sold it, after trying a valve amps I started to hate my solid state.

...know the feeling. Some gigs are awesome, others not so!!...I always try focusing on the one guy really enjoying himself, here there are 2, one of which was a previous band-member :D  https://fbcdn-sphotos-c-a.akamaihd.net/hphotos-ak-xfa1/t31.0-8/10636443_10152445301836644_678229512260188629...
