If you’re worried about scratching the faceplate, put some masking tape around the area. Pair of pliers and a rubber band around the nut if you’re worried about marring it.
Thanks man! Got it off without a scratch. 8)

Taking off a switch, Help!

Some time ago, I snapped off the channel selection switch on my orange AD30HTC. I just recently got a new switch to replace it but I don't know how to take out the old one. I have my amp opened up, I just can't seem to figure out how to take out the switch without scratching everything up, the nut (...

New Cab! & Retubing Questions

Over the summer I sold that big, heavy Hughes and Kettner 4x12 and picked up a slightly lighter but much easier to carry Marshall 2x12 I'm also still in the process of building another 2x12 http://i62.tinypic.com/34ryn8o.jpg I think my AD30 looks rather purdy atop the cab. And for my amp, the tubes ...

Great! And the Reaper and the Veteran 30 sounds like pretty great option, I'll probably go that route.

Yeah, that's the closest one I found, figured it might be the best way to go about getting those speakers.

Re: Building a 2x12

WGS Veteran 30! Lots of distributors world wide. I'm sure wood type has a bit of effect on the tone, but as long as it's a nice and thick piece of ply you should be ok. I used 18mm birch for a 1X12 I made a few years back. Baltic was way too expensive so I opted for the regular stuff. It worked per...

Re: Building a 2x12

Ironically I ran through a very similar experience. I would say as long as the baffle is very strong it should be OK, tone woods will vary the sound... I have thought about trying to build a pine cab as well but have not to this point... mine is constructed out of birch ply. What speakers are avail...

Building a 2x12

So, a while back, I asked about Orange 2x12 cabs and ended up on deciding to get the Open Back. But since I haven't been able to find one, or any 2x12 in my area, I've decided to build my own! It's pretty much based on the PPC212 closed back measurements-wise, but the wood is now Fir plywood instead...

I'm pretty sure that might be what's happening because when I turn the guitar upside down (pickup side down) the pole pieces pop-out just like in the neck pickup.

Weird Feedback

So, earlier today I was playing around on my strat into my AD30 which was fully cranked on the gain and master. I switched over to my middle position which for some reason has sunken a small bit, and I got this really crazy sounding feed back, too be honest I love it because I like weird noises made...

Re: Flippin Burgers

Any veggie burgers? Oh yes veggie bean burgers and they have sold well, but the winner has got to be the burger, cheese and bacon bun! Bacon always wins. Hell, as it is well know, bacon IS the proof that God exists. https://youtu.be/VyWN5017wD8" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; Hallelu...
