Nice video, very well done. I've seen some shootouts like this before, but none were done this well. Thanks for posting!

Re: Rockerverb 50 MKIII DARK

Where's the clean channel volume at? And where do you have the attenuator turned up at all? There is definitely a loss of high end at low volume levels/high attenuator levels.

Re: Jim Root Dark Terror Cab

But if he only has the volume at the first notch, then this could totally be the problem. My TH30 and (to a lesser extent) my RV50 MK3 both sound muddy if I only have the volume at the first notch (especially the clean channel). As soon as I get that thing a little higher, it opens up. If the differ...

Re: Name That Effect

MXR Blue Box - NOPE. Don't like that effect AT ALL. It makes your guitar sound like an Atari game. Ew. Not fer me. The Blue Box certainly isn't for everyone, but in certain (usually pretty specific applications), man...that thing SINGS. If you get the balance set right, it can be a little extra sau...

Re: Another ohm compatability question using one head and two cabs

I didn't. I said you couldn't run two 8 ohm cabs, unless you run them in series (I goofed and said 'parallel'). Just plug a 16 ohm cab each in the 8 ohm outputs and rock out. I think you're confusing him by saying "the two 8ohm outputs" the CR120 doesn't have 8ohm outputs like some of the other amp...

Re: what is the highest gain Orange in production atm?

All the gain stages are on at all times. Your signal will flow through all 4 triode of the 2 ECC83 at all times, regardless of actual gain. You can plainly hear where each gain stage kicks in. I suppose that's the point where the output of one stage becomes the input of the next stage, thus increas...

Re: New Rockerverb 100 mkIII noise in dirty channel

Because the $750 worth of e-gift card codes that I mentioned earlier could only be used at Guitar Center. If I get my money back, I would only get that $750 back as a physical Guitar Center gift card, not cash. I can't use it anywhere else. Ah yes. You did say that. Well...I have an MKIII, but it's...

Re: New Rockerverb 100 mkIII noise in dirty channel

If it's not working the way you want and it's a big enough issue for you to write about it here, why would you not just take your money back and order it from a better place that will actually give you customer service?

I am also confused.

Re: Rockerverb 50mki combo 60 hertz hum and reverb noise

You hear it even with nothing plugged into the input? That's not right. If you've already replaced all the tubes, I think it's time to take it to a tech. I know that's not what you want to hear, but it sounds like a deeper issue (maybe something coming ungrounded or some sort of short?).

I like the pedaltrain boards, light and solid.
Their flight cases make up for how light they are
Don't get me wrong, their cases are super solid and I'd rather have them err on that side, but holy balls..for their size, they are the heaviest flight cases I've ever used.

The micro-amps are sold state power amps so surely they would be ok with the very high impedence of an open circuit?
Oh right! Duh. Good call.

Ah, seems it's my VPN. I was getting a 404 error until I shut it off. Pictures come through without any fuss. Sorry for raising a flag when the issue was completely on my end.

Cheers!
