there are so many people out there today who want these old amps just to fix them up. if you arent going to play it i would sell it to whom you deem most worthy.

of all the amps you listed, if you could only pick one, I would definitely go for a jcm 800.

I put an upgraded OT by classic tone in a 5f6a bassman build. I think you will be pleased with them.

el86 are used in vertical deflection amplifiers such as in an old tv. same pinout as an el34 but requires much different voltages to operate. I put sovteks in my th30 and I love the way they sound.

if one goes down on stage(diode) the whole amp doesn't go down. some tube amps push the limits of the components. I have heard of tube rectifiers having diodes placed directly after them for this very reason.

30+ miles? that isn't that far. I would be testing those amps

if it goes cheap it would be a nice template for tinkering and learning under the hood of an amp. I wouldn't trust the reliability of it as is. is that a homemade cardboard eyelet board? who knows, might sound great. im not much help, just my 2 cents.
